Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 11:10, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Pakistan
[edit]No problem about the colours, your work is incredible and I'm very jealous. Just curious, would you be up to making the coat of arms and flag of the Federal Shariat Court as can be seen in photo? Fry1989 eh? 21:01, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
- Fry1989 I will be happy to give it a shot. -Prez001
- Wonderful! I'm so delighted. I want to get to the Supreme Court as well eventually, but it uses Urdu script so that's a much more difficult one to request. Luckily this court uses English text. Thank you my friend :) Fry1989 eh? 01:30, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I saw the Supreme Court one as well, and it looks daunting with that script. -Prez001

- I have been following the dialogue Fry1989 eh?. As I have noted I'm not as well versed as you are in the copyright specifications on commons. I will gladly comply with the outcome, provided it is just. I must thank you for your very rational advocacy on behalf of the image. User:Prez001
