Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hello Turelio,

The athlete asked me to add the photo to his profile.

I did not know that there might be a copyright violation.

I will delete it.

Hi Pmfonseca,

it is not sure that it is a copyvio, just a suspicion. The problem is often that these people hear "Wikipedia" and they are glad, as it's good PR, but have little knowledge about copyright. However, you might/should ask the athlete wether he really has the full copyright of this image. If he answers yes and if he is willing to release it under a free license, as required for uploads to Commons, you might send him a permission-template and ask him to complete it and to send it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org (OTRS). Just go to Commons:Email templates#Email message template for release of rights to a file, copy the boxed permission-text, enter the filename (or complete URL) of the image and send that to the athlete. He needs to send the reply/permission directly to the above mentioned address. --Túrelio (talk) 16:43, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
