User talk:Pgbk1987
Our first steps tour and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki—it is really easy. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel irc:wikimedia-commons #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

File tagging File:Old Belize Entrance.png
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Old Belize Entrance.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Old Belize Entrance.png]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Corrections
[edit]Hi! I made some correction at your uploads:
- File:Tropic Air, Belize.png + File:Sugar Cane Processing Plant 2.jpg + File:Main Bus Station, Orange Walk Town, Belize.jpg appointed only to a Flickr gallery without specifying the direct Flickr file. Corrected for all files via example.
- File:San Pedro, Belize - Collage.png: 1 missing source added.
I still have some doubts about your other uploads which were not taken by your digicam Sony NEX-5N... Gunnex (talk) 18:12, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]Thank you for the corrections. I can assure that most of my images were taken recently with my Sony NEX-5N. Any doubts are because they were in converted from RAW format, or were taken with different lenses or camera settings. In case you did not know, when files are converted from RAW format certain programs don't retain the EXIF Info. Pgbk1987 (talk) 13:46, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
- And - for example - this one = File:Cerros, Corozal, Belize.png?? Uploaded by you in 02.2013 without exif but previously circulating WITH exif (NIKON D40X, even in lower res) via (example) http://almondtreeresort.com/attractions = http://almondtreeresort.com/imgs/attractions/cerros.sq.jpg (last modified: 2010). The original photographer seems to be http://dwgphotography.com/en = "Debra Wilkes Gray is a freelance photographer based out of Corozal Town in northern Belize." = http://dwgphotography.com/gallery = http://dwgphotography.com/imgs/gallery/commercial/cerros3.640x428.jpg... Hello
[edit]I apologize for not fully understanding the copyright policies, but my intentions are only to post high quality pictures of these articles. It's not like my intentions are to make profit off of, or advertise with, these images. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pgbk1987 (talk • contribs)
- Hi! You are uploading "high quality pictures" from other photographers and declares them as "own work"? Excuse me, but this is not complicated. It´s quite simple: stealing. At least these photographers should be asked before upload in Commons if they would agree to publish there images under a free license. If you don´t know the original photographer, don´t upload it. I will start a mass deletion request about those files which I would classify as "doubtful origin". Gunnex (talk) 20:14, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

- Okay, but two links in the source field are too much for the bot to recognize --> see my correction here and the positive "passed" process. Please avoid uploading Flickr files manually. There are some guidelines and tools for searching and uploading Flickr files at Commons:Flickr files. Gunnex (talk) 08:56, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thanks for your good uploads! I noticed you uploaded File:Punta_Gorda,_Belize_Parade,_May_2007.jpg - I was wondering why you entitled it "May 2007", when the upload on Flickr [1] dates it as September 2005. Wondering, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 18:02, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
If you don't give online flickr sources to images that you uploaded from flickr, they can be deleted as images with no known source. Just a notice. Goodbye, --Leoboudv (talk) 08:49, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- For this image, I typed in the flickr source and ordered a new {{Flickrreview}}. Please do the rest for the images that no one has given a source for...and type in a new flickrreview as I showed you above and the flickrbot will mark it. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 09:11, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
