File tagging File:Willy Gorissen.tif
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Willy Gorissen.tif. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

- Dear 4nn1l2, thanks for the info; it was my first upload to Wikimedia! An email has been sent this afternoon shortly after uploading the image. I guess, everything will be OK now. The email was sent AFTER the upload in order to enable the sender to mention the according hyperlinks in her email. Is there a better way to do this? Thx Petsoe (talk) 19:51, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- In this case, you should have used {{OTRS pending}}. I added the tag for you. The copyright holder should wait until an OTRS agent gets back to them. Unfortunately it takes a while, because there are many requests, but only a few volunteers .Thank you 4nn1l2 (talk) 21:41, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Dear 4nn1l2, many thanks for the info and for adding the tag! This is very useful; somewhere next weeks I will upload 12 artworks of this painter; both the rightholder of the images (the photographer) and the rightholder of the artworks (the heir) will send a message to OTRS. Now I know how to handle this. Wikipedia, Wikimedia and Wikidata are so great! If I had more spare time, I would collaborate more ... Many thanks for your service!
