Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

File:Auditorium interior.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

OTRS permissions requested
[edit]Please have the theatre or actual copyright owner of the image File:Auditorium interior.jpg use Commons:OTRS to clarify the right of the Commons to host that image. Because one of your uploads was done without clarity over whether you had the right to upload it, please have the copyright owner of the rest of the images (presumably you, unless perhaps the pictures were "for hire" or you were not the photographer) send in OTRS permissions for those images as well. OTRS notice sent
[edit]- email notice sent to OTRS asking for verification as I am the copyright holder
- Thanks. Put an {{OTRS pending}} template on the page(s) for which you sent in the OTRS, that should forstall any deletion. By the way, if the OTRS people are on the ball, they will insist on supporting documentation that you, not the theatre, own the copyright, or they will insist that the theatre's legal representative send in an OTRS. - template added to page
Hi Elcaminoplaza, we have received your message (ticket:2013061710006651) but as explained in our response from 21 June this is not yet sufficient. Please respond or ask me for help. Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 19:48, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
File tagging File:Auditorium interior.jpg
[edit]File:Auditorium interior.jpg which you uploaded has been tagged with {{OTRS pending}} for more than 30 days. This tag indicates that an email setting out permission to use the file was sent to the Volunteer Response Team. Unfortunately, we cannot find any record that such an email has been received, and accordingly the file remains without permission. Unless the Volunteer Response Team receives evidence that permission has been granted within 15 days of today's date, the file will be deleted. If you have already sent the permission, please re-send it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org now. Please quote the file name ("File:Auditorium interior.jpg") in your email. At the same time, please leave a message at the VRT noticeboard so that a volunteer can follow this up or contact a VRT member directly.

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Peterzapp. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Peterzapp~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
