Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

@Aranya: That was a photograph I took of my wall which had a TV hanging on it while SNL was playing on the background. I own this picture. It is not from the web. It was a still of SNL. Just to be clear, it was my original photograph.--P37307 (talk) 20:18, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Paul, thanks for the clarification. Since Saturday Night Live has not been released under a free license, we can't host photographs of the program as it still runs afoul of the original copyright. We have a short explanation on this page: Commons:2D copying. Even though you took it, your photograph is "defined entirely by the original work", so the original copyright still applies to it. @Aranya: I haven't uploaded very much to the Wikimedia project, mainly edit pages on Wikipedia. I am taking a crash course on copyright and various other policies. Thanks again for touching base with me on this subject.--P37307 (talk) 07:53, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
