Image Tagging Image:Phenolrot.png
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Phenolrot.png. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{Cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Phenolrot.png - Redundant
[edit]Hi. I didn't know you had already uploaded this file, so I went ahead and uploaded a new version to image:Phenol red.png to correct an error the original contributor made. I think the one I uploaded looks better for the thicker and sharper bonds, thus I have added the {{Redundant}} tag. If there are any objections you can post them in the talk page. --Rifleman 82 01:20, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

1959, 112, 80 ± 87. Leider hat es die nicht online. Viele Grüße --Orci Disk. 12:42, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Draft sexual content policy
[edit]here you indicated your oppososition of the draft commons Sexual Content policy, however you did not provide a reason so your opposition may not be counted. To make sure it is please update your oppose vote with a reason as to why you oppose this draft policy. Thanks! Barts1a (talk) 22:29, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
- I do not comment votes normally. There are so much arguments from other users, is it really important, which of them is the main argument for me? There are also a lot of other users, who not comment their votes. --Orci Disk. 22:54, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
- You didn't see that I had posted an identical message to them at the same time did you? Barts1a (talk) 23:05, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
- You have posted it to five other users, but there are many more users, who have not comment their votes. Supporters as well as Opposers --14:50, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Picture of the Year voting round 1 open
[edit]Dear Wikimedians,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:
- Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
- This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
- Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.
To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons
Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

18:51, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Important message for file movers
[edit]A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect
user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.
Possible acceptable uses of this ability:
- To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
- To perform file name swaps.
- When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)
Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.
The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect
user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:36, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
File:Häufigkeit_Erdhülle.png
[edit]Hallo Orci.
Harald Wehner (talk) 09:59, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
--Orci Disk. 11:00, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
