Danke dir.

[edit]

Hi, Olaf. We've made a wiki marathon and we have used one of your images: File:Dolmen de Son Bauló de Dalt 08.jpg, for ca:Son Bauló de Dalt. Are you living in Mallorca? We are very interested in archaelogy and maybe we could do something together? Thanks, Albert Aforesg (talk) 12:46, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jo visc a Berlín i estic un cop l'any a Mallorca. Salutacions, --Oltau (talk) 13:51, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, when you visit Mallorca, we can see, if it's possible. Best regards

Hallo Oltau...

[edit]

--Hubertl 19:24, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, it was a picture of a church in Arkalochori, Crete, Greece, which was too recent in order to fall out of copyrights, especially since there's no FOP in Greece. Not many people seem to know it but greek law is pretty harsh concerning photos of monuments, unfortunately. :/ Regards, --Glorious 93 (talk) 06:36, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File:Alcúdia Wappen.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Image use question - educational textbook

[edit]

Hi,

I'm working on a textbook on Greek archaeology and wanted to ask whether you'd be happy for me to include your photo of the Athena statuette from the Heraklion Museum in Crete (here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tonfigur_Gortyn_01.jpg).

Please could you email me on pictures@hubner.co.uk so that I can tell you more details about the proposed image usage?

Many thanks!

Hello, I have uploaded a new version of the image. You can use this old or this new version, even edit, freely usable for websites as well as for books. You must specify the author of the image and the license (GFDL or cc-by-3.0), under the image or in a photo proof. Regards, --Olaf Tausch (talk) 23:25, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ameliapeabody.mediasohg.com

[edit]

Hi, Olaf!

Photo usage on Travel Channel

[edit]

Hello!

I am reaching out to you from a production company outside of Minneapolis, MN. We are currently putting together a series for The Travel Channel. The show follows our host as he travels the world investigating interesting sites, artifacts, and inscriptions. In one of our episodes, our host will be discussing the Nora Stone. While searching for images we came across your photo: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Stele_von_Nora_07.jpg

It's a great image, and we’d love to use it on our show. Would you allow us to use this as reference images?

We would need your signature on a materials release, so please feel free to reach out to me at courtney.reistad@committeefilms.com!

Best, Courtney --Court020 (talk) 16:51, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!
You can use the photo according to the license. You do not need a signature from me for that. When using the photo, only the author and the origin must be indicated. So my name, Olaf Tausch, and the source Wikimedia Commons.
