Before you go; another 2 image is overflow and useless; would you mind delete it?--Freewayguy 02:04, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Can you just delete those two images. It has been over 10 days, previosluly I just forgot to add it to Deletion Log because I was busy with my stuff and sometimes people forgot. Sometimes people dont do things right because they might have a little trouble.--Freewayguy 00:28, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Block reasons

Hi - did you get the block reason wrong for this one? Doesn't appear to be an open proxy & should be blocked for longer if it is. Cheers --Herby talk thyme 07:13, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

The user had a different IP well before the block—it's somewhere in the page history of the transcluded undeletion requests. I tried to find it last night (EDT), but got preoccupied. 哦,是吗?(висчвын) 14:20, 07 May 2008 (GMT)
Actually it was in the history of Interstate shields69.111.9.252 was the IP before the block. It's obvious he did something to change his IP. 哦,是吗?(висчвын) 14:28, 07 May 2008 (GMT)
OK - thanks for that. Please note that changing IPs does not make anything an open proxy at all. I can change my ip by switching my router on & off. I was not disputing the block merely the reason. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 07:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

A title, not a name

Could you explain, when there are no articles called Don Bosco, that you made that change? Giovani, perhaps, but Don? Evrik 15:46, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Consensus already said that the articles do not have to be named as such; they only need to mention that "Don" is also frequently recognised. The articles that consensus point out do just that. 哦,是吗?(висчвын) 19:55, 15 May 2008 (GMT)

O, thanks for your comments here. I've added a rather lengthy reply which I hope answers your question. Cheers, giggy (:O) 07:57, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Bourgogne and Burgundy

Hello. Let me explain why I have reverted the recent changes you have carryed out on the Bourgogne cat. Indeed, all the french regions are categorized according to the french name so that everything is fully consistenly categorized this way. Mixing french and english spelling will lead to an obvious miss in the categories as well as the subcats. A great effort has been spend into carrying a uniform categorization in the french subcat. That is why Burgundy was redirected for quite a long time towards Bourgogne. The same problem applyes to Brittany but I didn't have the time to revert your changes, I think it would be nice if you could find the time to carry this by yourself. Best regards. Sorry, category names are in English. 哦,是吗?(висчвын) 16:47, 18 May 2008 (GMT)

deprecated function in your monobook.js

Dear user, I noticed that you use the includePage function in your monobook.js page.

This function is now obsolete, as the importScript function was introduced with rev:35064 to the MediaWiki Javascript core library wikibits.js. It also keeps track of already imported files.

To allow us to remove includePage from Mediawiki:Common.js I'd kindly ask you to replace its use with importScript (same syntax!). Thanks! --Dschwen 17:03, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Request to translate COM:VI announcement to Chinese

Hi O, I do not know if you have heard of or followed the development of the Valued image project which started early this year. We are now making the final preparations to go online June 1 at 0:00 UTC. The preparations can be followed here: Commons talk:Valued images candidates.

One of the tasks we have agreed to do is to make an announcement of the project launch and post that on the most important sister projects. Among these the Chinese.

I was therefore wondering if you be so kind to translate this announcement to Chinese? And if not, try to delegate the task to another user, who speaks native Chinese. Thanks in advance. -- Slaunger 21:55, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Ping. -- Slaunger 05:56, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Working on it. O (висчвын) 18:57, 24 May 2008 (GMT)
Thanks for the translation and site notice! -- Slaunger 07:29, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi again. The time has now come to annnounce the project on the Chinese Wikipedia. Could you do that for us or delegate the task? Please report back here.
Happy editing,
-- Slaunger 23:20, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
