Changing images on your Flickr account
[edit]Dear Nevalicori,
On my flickr account, I first sign in to my flickr account and then I go and find the image where I want to change the license on. When I find the image, I first:
- 1) see the "Additional info (show more)" option on the bottom right and click on the show more option to see the license option.
- 2) I assume the license for the image is All Rights Reserved (edit) Click on edit to see the license options that you have and then choose either the option before "Attribution Creative Commons" OR the option before "Attribution-ShareAlike Creative Commons" Then click SAVE and you have changed the flickr license of your image to one of these two licenses. WikiCommons can only accept flickr images with one of these 2 images.
Attribution Creative Commons is the license for this image and Attribution-ShareAlike Creative Commons is the license for this image Good luck. I signed in to my flickr account to see how to change licenses. PS: Its funny, I'm not using Flickr UI on my computer as I complained to flickr that I want to use the old design on a Forum asking for views on the new design. But I thought they postponed the switch as I only saw Flickr UI when I didn't sign in to my Flickr account. Now, I don't see Flickr UI at all when I'm not signed in when I mark images from flickr. Perhaps you fully use the new Flickr UI design...but you can sign in and see if my instructions work. --Leoboudv (talk) 03:23, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- If you don't see the 'Additional info (show more)' option when you sign in to your flickr account, then you should post a message to the Flickr forum as JurgenNL suggested....as I likely don't have the same flickr interface as you and cannot help you. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 03:45, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- For info, I've now found out how to change the license using the new UI. View a photo, then click the (i) button underneath the 'Add a comment box'. The current license will be displayed, and if it's your own photo, you can click on it in order to pop up a list of available licenses to choose from.
Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2018 is open!
[edit]Dear Nevalicori,
You are receiving this message because we noticed that you voted in R1 of the 2018 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in the second round. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2018) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked.
In the final (and current) round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2018.
Round 2 will end 17 March 2019, 23:59:59.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee 18:04, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
