Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

I took the photograph. I work with the Humanities Truck, which is mentioned on my user page. You will see in the EXIF data "Julie Hawks" is the artist. If you go to the Humanities Truck site http://humanitiestruck.com/people/ you will see me listed as staff. Also, when uploading the photo, I marked the box that stated the work was mine.

Hi Julie, welcome here on the Commons! I believe that you're right, but every time an image has been published previously somewhere before uploading it here the thing becomes a bit more complicated. The reason is: Accounts are in fact anonymous ones, i. e. I could for example have created an account named "Julie Hawks". If I then had uploaded your image without your permission that were an unacceptable action of course. So we need a kind of proof, which is called OTRS. On that page you'll find some more information. In short: We need an e-mail from (important!) a humanitiestruck.com mail address confirming that you/they agree (see Commons:OTRS and Commons:Email templates). Please refer to File:Humanities Truck at 2018 Adams Morgan Dat.jpg so our volunteers can assign the e-mail to the image. Leave me a note when you have sent that mail, and I can undelete the image. I know, the whole procedure is quite cumbersome and I don't like it too, but every month we have to delete hundreds of images that have been stolen from the web.
