Sonja Bluhm
[edit]Die Datei ist jetzt in Category:Sonja Bluhm, die eine Unterkategorie von Category:Female chess players from Germany ist. So ist die Datei also genauer als vorher einsortiert. Gruß --Tobias1983 Mail Me 13:36, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Removal of User it-N, User de-N and other similar categories from image file with you
[edit]Hello Michael,
I'm answering on your question you asked me in this edit: Why are you removing the existing catogories?
Those categories belongs to the user pages, not files, as far as I know. Also, they appear automatically on the user pages when a user add the information about their level of langauge knowledge through Extension:Babel. Your image appeared in those catagories and it was kind of looks like a promotion of yourself (it was only one image there). Was it intentional? I hope so that not.
So, if you really want to show others your levels of languages knowledge, please use the mentionned extension (and, probably various number of others) that would be really helpful to update your profile consistently. I hope I answered your question. If so, would you mind to remove those categories from the image and add it in the appropriate way on your user page? With all the best wishes, Pacha Tchernof (talk) 08:45, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hello pacha, I think what you wrote is incorrect. The categories are Wikimedia Commons categories and are also used by countless other users. They lead to commos lists. The categories on the Wikipedia user profile are for Wikipedia only and have nothing to do with Commons or self-promotion, they are listings of skills. Please leave it like that, thank you. - @Michael Musto: thank you for your opinion on the matter. Since this situation is interesting and I would like to recieve more precisly explained opinions, I'm going to make further investigation and ask Commons Community about those categories, the categorization of images by them and our discussion here. All the best, Pacha Tchernof (talk) 10:48, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
