[edit]

Hi! I see you fixed the colours on File:39-45 Star BAR.svg. I wondered if you might like to fix File:Air Crew Europe BAR.svg? (The Air Crew Europe Star ribbon is light blue with yellow and black outer stripes. The colours represent the continuous service of the Air Forces by night and day.)

Hi. Yes, I've compared them with this: . They're not the same.
I've been looking for a definitive source, but haven't found one yet. Do you have one?
Why do you think they are so different?
Where do you think the grey-blue & brown-red came from?
(Although the colours in File:UK Order St-Michael St-George ribbon.svg may not be right, there seems to be lots of annecdotal evidence that they are closer than the colours in File:Ord.St.Michele-Giorgio.png - but as I said, I haven't found anything definitive yet.)

SVG

[edit]

As you have (no doubt) guessed, I know nothing about svg files, nor do I have software to edit or create them.
As you have (no doubt) observed, most Australian bios use ribbons of the ratio 100:30.
It seems the "standard" svg ratio is 109:30 (i.e. 218x60px)
What's the best way to get a set of svg ribbons 100:30?
Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 10:57, 28 July 2010 (UTC) & w:User talk:Pdfpdf[reply]

P.S. Thanks for fixing File:Pacific Star BAR.svg. (The pink was distracting!) Pdfpdf (talk) 10:57, 28 July 2010 (UTC) & w:User talk:Pdfpdf[reply]

Well, unfortunately the best way to get a set of svg ribbons 100:30 is the upload of the new svg files with ratio needed...
Most of the biograms on pl-wiki (I would rather say, that all of them) used 218:60 (most of them: uploaded by Orem) and for that reason I won't upload ribbons with different ratios... Sorry...
Best regards. Mboro. 90.156.41.111 (talk) 08:26, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, it would be wonderful if you solved ALL of my problems for me, (not just those limited to wikipedia ribbons), but that wasn't what I was "fishing" for ...
So, to get a set of 100:30 svg files I need to create them. OK. Do you have any suggestions about which software I might enjoy using?

Those type ribbon bars never have been used in japan. Therefore, These are not Japanese ribbon bars. Japanese ribbon bar, that use for uniform, never adding the rosett. Thus, I’ll request you to correct the images. Remove the part of ribbon bar from these images. Or else, adding new category, for example,"Polish ribbon bars for Japanese order".--uaa (talk) 16:01, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Szablon czterodzielnej tarczy do wykonania herbu

[edit]

Witaj :)

Cal powyżej jelca widniała punca w kształcie słońca o szesnastu promieniach, na przemian prostych i falujących, symbolizujących w heraldyce słoneczny blask i słoneczny żar - str. 288

SMiki55 (talk) 18:16, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hej. Pozdrawiam, SMiki55 (talk) 22:18, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:New Caledonia flags merged (2017).svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

How do you make ribbons?

[edit]

How did you make ribbons? I want to make some ribbons but I don't know how. Jak zrobiłeś wstążki? Chcę zrobić wstążki, ale nie wiem jak. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.88.10.48 (talk) 20:42, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RPC flag?

[edit]

Not sure if this would be something you'd be interested in, but since you made File:Russian Olympic Committee flag.svg I figured I'd ask: the Russian Paralympic flag was designated (see this document), mind making it? If so, thanks! Primefac (talk) 18:20, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

FSR flag

[edit]

Hello!

Few months ago you uploaded the flag of FSR (Figure Skating Federation of Russia)'s team which was been used at the 2021 World Figure Skating Championships at Stockholm, Sweden - File:FSR Team flag (2021 WCh).svg

Can you give me written permission for using of this image, please? If not, can you simply upload this image at Wikimedia in PNG format, not SVG (in order to make symbols in the middle more visible)?

Regards and bye. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hyperion82 (talk • contribs) 13:18, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hungarian Order of Saint Stephen

[edit]

Hey, thank you for your help last time! I would like to turn your attention to the following ribbon bar: File:Order of Saint Stephen of Hungary - Ribbon bar Grand-Cross.svg - Wikimedia Commons

The new Hungarian Order of Saint Stephen uses a normal red rather than burgundy/purple. Would wou be able to change it, please?

Thank you so much and keep up the great work! :) Pelicanegg (talk) 11:21, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well. This time I refuse. The shade of red and green are different depending on light (check this and this); so I decided to remain current design of the ribbon bars' images. Best regards; Mboro (talk) 04:50, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Orders, decorations, and medals of Austria-Hungary

[edit]

Hi Mboro! Thank you for your contributions!

I'm working on making this page a bit better and thought of you. Would you be willing to vectorise the ribbon bars of the orders and decorations on that page? The Order of Leopold (first class), Order of the Iron Crown, Order of Franz Joseph (on both ribbon types), just to name a few. Thanks again for all your effort!

All the best!

Odznaka pamiątkowa

[edit]

Cześć. Zapytanie i prośba. Udalo by Ci się opracować plik odznaki pamiątkowej na podstawie tu [7] i tu [8], a następnie wstawić do hasła [9], byłbym bardzo wdzięczny. Zmechowiec 75 (dyskusja) 18:05, 7 lis 2023 (CET)

Create new rubans?

[edit]

Hi, I hope you can enlighten me. Would it be possible for you to create new ribbons on request for certain decorations (some ribbons have a very low resolution). I am thinking for example of the order of Leopold II of Belgium, or the Order of the Sun of Peru... THANKS Lion59131 (talk) 16:22, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
