willkommen hier auf den Commons und Danke für die guten Fotos, speziell auch für Deine Moosbeiträge in der Wikipedia :-)

Du findest Dich ja bereits gut zurecht hier, deshalb nur wenige kleine Tipps:

  • im Gemeinschaftsportal gibt es eine Übersicht über die wichtigsten Seiten,
  • in den Einstellungen (preferences) kannst Du als Benutzeroberfläche auch de-Deutsch auswählen,
  • die Babel-Kästchen sind hier auf den Benutzerseiten wirklich nützlich z.B. bei internationalen Anfragen zu einzelnen Bildern, und mit [[de:Benutzer:Mbc]] kannst Du einfach einen Interwikilink auf Deine de-Seite setzen,
  • wenn Du bei Deinen Bildern in der Bildbeschreibung hier immer Deinen Namen verlinkst mit [[:de:Benutzer:Mbc|Nick oder Klarname]] (link zur de.wikipedia-Benutzerseite) oder aber mit [[User:Mbc|Nick oder Klarname]] (commons-Benutzerseite), dann ist es auch möglich, ohne Umweg zu Deiner Benutzerseite zu gelangen, wenn das Bild z.B. direkt in die französische Wikipedia eingebunden wird. Momentan steht da nämlich nur das da im Rohtext, ohne Link.

Hallo. Danke für die Hinweise. Das ist natürlich ganz schön viel Stoff. Ich habe es beim letzten Bild schon versucht. Bis ich die anderen Bilder hingebogen habe, wird aber noch ein bißchen Zeit vergehen.

Polytrichum

Would you be kind enough to check a Polytrichum photograph identification for me, please (see below)? The long clear toothed bristle-pointed leaves are said to distinguish it from similar mosses in the area that it was found. Thank you, Walter Siegmund (talk) 20:51, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that my answer did take this long. Both pictures could well be Polytrichum piliferum. At least in Europe it is indeed the only Polytrichum species with hyline hairs at the leaf-tips. And I doubt that in North America there are other such species. But I am not sure. The habitus and place (on rocks) also fit very well for P. piliferum. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Pojar and Mackinnon (ISBN 1-55105-040-4), a Pacific Coast field guide, says that "the conspicuous, long, clear, toothed bristle-point" is a distinguishing feature. So, if the hairs on the leaf-tips look right to you, that should suffice. Pojar and Mackinnon say that another distinguishing feature is that it is found on exposed rock outcrops, but I had overlooked that earlier. Thank you for pointing that out and for commenting.
