The image : <http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Vue_du_village_de_Thorame-Haute_depuis_la_cr%C3%AAte_de_Tacastel.jpg> is not Thorame-Haute ([1]), but an another village : La Mure (La Mure-Argens: [2]) near Thorame. Why did you remove my image - stop vandalizing pages.

• Why did you remove the image "COLONIAL_HILLS_1941_PLAT.JPG" from the article Colonial Hills (Subdivision of Worthington, Ohio)? It was an important part of the article and its removal was senseless vandalism. I worked very hard on that article and I cannot understand why someone would come along and remove a perfectly good image for reasons I don't even understand. Thanks to you, the image is now deleted from Wikipedia and I cannot restore it. You must understand that authors get mad at you when you are deleting their work. It is not right occasion to start lectures about civility. May I kindly know why was this image Image:Map of Kuwait Failaka (lithuanian).jpg that was translated by me deleted on (falsely translated) basis? I am a native of that country, and wrote the exact names in Arabic as they are officially called? And may I know why was I not informed that this deletion would happen? I have been registered in commons and have uploaded a huge number of photos ( you could check this out) with the right licenses and proper information of which a great majority were created by me? There is a Jewish tale that I like so much. In a god-forsaken village, one pretty young girl was tormented by a question that she couldn't answer: "How can I make the right choices?". Fortunately once, a famous wise rabbi casually stopped in the village. The news spread quickly, so everybody rushed to greet him and to ask him some wise suggestions. The young girl too, and when finally she was in front of the man, asked "How can I make the right choices?". The man: "Get experience!". Momentaneously satisfaied the girl came home but, at night, she coudn't get asleep. Because another question have arosen: "How can I get experience?". So the next day she went again to see the rabbi and this time asked "How can I get experience?". And the rabbi "Make wrong choices!". Look, you are civil and offering excuses all the time, but you are frequently deleting uploads and effort by users for no good reason. I just wondered how you could miss such a very large template. It contains both Source and Description. The image was uploaded more than three years ago, with different upload forms and under different rules. You as an administrator are supposed to be a steward of this depository, not just delete all the stuff that does not conform to current standards. I just know that you have deleted a series of images during two minutes--a very short time, apparently in a haste, and that one of these images--Gray 1120.png--has very clear plate saying that it is in public domain. So what I would like to ask you is to check all those deleted images and undelete those of them that actually had copyright information. Dan Polansky please keep in mind that not all commons users are native English speakers. Mardentanha is elected by the commons community and gas there for the right to delete files. Because there was one file deleted wrong, but no need to undelete them all. I trust his judgement and know it's all deleted for good reasson. Dear Sterkebak, I am not a native speaker either. To learn to start sentences with capital letters is a matter of choice, so is writing "I" in capital. As concerns your manners, I would kindly ask you to change the color of your signature from the yellow, which is difficult to read, to some readable, possibly dark, color.

As regards the substantive issue, there was no judgment, which is exactly why I am requesting a review: to all appearances, Mardetanha just deleted files per their being in a particular category, into which they have been placed by a bot.

Re: "give links to images that are deleted with no good reasson[sic]." How can I give you a list of images deleted for no good reasons when the whole series of images is already deleted? I have no means of reviewing the deleted images myself, and checking myself whether there was indeed no copyright information, AFAIK. If I am in error and in fact I have the option to review the deleted images myself, please, can you show me how? The mass deletion of lots of files within a few minutes is just not instilling confidence in the process. An obviously PD image from Gray's Anatomy was deleted, and this admin could not see the huge PD-banner even after Polansky's request. After that his administrator buddy SterkeBak deleted it again (at least he realized the error of his ways). Please note that I am not the uploader of the Image:Gray1120.png, neither am I the uploader of the other deleted images. I have noticed the deletion of Gray's image just by accident, when it was removed from one of the galleries to which I have added the image. I do not have any personal stakes in these images. Because the files are deleted fast is not a reasson to believe it is wrong. When i handle a cat to check and delete, I open all files. Close the windows from the images that don't have to be deleted. And than i delete all the other files. With that why it is easy to delete 50 or more images in last than 5 minutes. Whe are speaking about a admin that does good work! If you can't give links to any image you think that is wrong deleted, there is no reasson to keep this discussion going! Note that Image:Gray1120.png is not the only image in that series of images that should not have been deleted. Other such images include Image:Seitenansicht StuG III Ausf A.jpg and Image:Regnum-landscape-syrtis.jpg, listed as deleted here, and Image:Sturmhaubitze 42, September 1944.jpg, Image:StuG III Ausf A.jpg. I really believe you must stop now! I checked those images and the are all deleted for a good reason. There are undeleted after OTRS Permission has arrived. You are telling people this admin keeps making mistakes, but he is not. It is now time to walk away. There is nothing wrong on his actions and if you keep searching and keep posting links to images that are handled fine you will only make a fool of yourself. It must be a misunderstanding. I was just requesting that someone checks the particular series of images; I was not saying that any and all actions of Mardetanha are erroneous. Here is another unjustified deletion in that batch: Image:JankovicUSOpen08afar.jpg. In the google cache I can see that it had a minor licensing problem: "This image was originally posted to Flickr by tshein at http://flickr.com/photos/37252403@N00/2801704376. It was reviewed on 18:39, 28 September 2008 (UTC) by FlickreviewR, who found it to be licensed under the terms of the cc-by-2.0, which is compatible with the Commons. It is however not the same license as given above, and it is unknown whether that license ever was valid."
That kind of technicality is not a good reason to delete. On October 17 this image was uploaded again as Image:Jankovicusopen08afar.jpg. It is in use. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 17:10, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
