User talk:Madjabuds
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

Image deletion warning | Image:SG01.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

Please take your difference of opinion to the talk page of the gallery rather than keeping on reverting changes. Explain please, don't remove --Herby talk thyme 10:25, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Again - "taking something to the talk page" does not mean posting there and immediately removing material. Discuss by all means, come to a consensus but if you keep acting as you are you will be blocked by me --Herby talk thyme 11:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which information may be missing. Thank you.

herby....are you directing this towards me specifically? Because there has been repeat vandalism towards me, and my pages...yet several users have not been removed. This is Sasha Grey, you can ask other mods for verification. Madjabuds 11:33, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Madjabuds is Sasha Grey
- So you say, I requested that you did not remove those pictures again. You did - ignore this warning and I will block you --Herby talk thyme 12:27, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
consensus....???
[edit]So Herby....how's this consensus going to work? Me against the people who have been vandalizing my pages, or the people I disagree with, vice versa? I am requesting that the photos titled AVN Awards show on January 8, 2005, September 17, 2006, At a party on October 11, 2007, and At a party on October 11, 2007 be deleted for quality control; they lack substance, professionalism, and quality. Not to mention the photo that states "AVN awards 2005" is incorrect, I wasn't 18 yet so that would make it illegal for me to be in pornography, or at a pornography related event. This further proves my point that these photos and users have lacked attention, professionalism, and quality. By Wiki's own rules ( I believe I read this), if a photo makes light of a person they shall be removed: I feel this is a valid reason for myself. If anyone has visited the source website from where these pictures are derived, one would no that it's a gossip site. Oh and for those who don't know, my myspace profile was hacked a few months ago, and the person put my phone number, address, and what they think my legal name is....while using the photo "September 17th 2006" I wouldn't be surprised if it was a user from Wikipedia considering the vandalism and defamation of character that has been applied to my page in the past.
Also...in the past a moderator told me if I post photos, this problem may be resolved so I'll try doing that... Madjabuds 06:21, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Madjabuds is Sasha Grey
- Let's try again. I am not antagonistic to you or your ideas. My issue is with the fact that users are disagreeing about the page content and edit warring - that is all I am trying to prevent. I have no views on which photographs should be on the page. If you are Sasha then I understand you would prefer to see better quality pictures but it is not a publicity site and you do not control the content - the page does not belong to you. Please discuss the content with others.
- Your recent uploads almost certainly need OTRS licensing as you had on your earlier one Image:SG01.jpg. Assuming you contacted the OTRS system doing that one you should do the same again for any more you upload. I am warning you as it is likely that someone will see them and tag them for removal otherwise. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 13:11, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I see the pictures have gone and that you cancelled your posting to me. I trust that you are now ok with this. Please attend to the licensing as well. If you feel I can help in the future please let me know - thanks --Herby talk thyme 08:04, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi there
[edit]Hi Ms Grey - firstly, thanks for being generous with your images and freely licensing them so that Wikimedia projects can use them. We truly appreciate it! Secondly, if you wish to contact OTRS with verification about your images, the e-mail address is permissions@wikimedia.org. A statement of release will be required - I have a simple example statement here, where you need to replace the blanks with your name, preferably the source of the image, and the license you wish to release them under - we prefer the GFDL.
If any of the captions in the images are currently incorrect, you are welcome to correct them. You can do this on the gallery page or on the image description pages, if those too are inaccurate.
We try very hard to keep everyone happy - new contributors as well as old hands - and if there is anything you feel is inaccurate we will be happy to assist you in correcting it. However, edit-warring makes it hard to give credibility to one's arguments, so we try our best to keep it at a minimum :)
Although we advise against removing images from the gallery on Wikimedia Commons, you are welcome to tell us which image you prefer should be used on your biography page at Wikipedia, and we can put that in place. We generally prefer that subjects of articles do not adjust their articles themselves, but we are happy to comply with their requests within reason.
Once you have sent the permission statements to OTRS, please feel free to let me know, and I will attempt to attend to the matter personally. I know we can get this sorted without any hard feelings. Looking forward to your mail! Cheers, ~ Riana ⁂ 04:49, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Sasha, I put in a request for deletion because Leyden owns the copyright of that image. Did you ask him for permission to post his picture onto wikipedia? Morbidthoughts 17:44, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:SG_03.jpg
[edit]
![]() |
Thanks for uploading Image:SG_03.jpg. This image is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or send an email with copy of a written permission to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org).
Unless the permission information is given, the image may be speedy deleted after seven days. Thank you. ChristianBier 07:02, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
I sent an OTRS permission to Wiki on the 23rd, now the image isn't appearing...? MadjabudsMadjabuds
Image Tagging Image:SG_04.jpg
[edit]
![]() |
Thanks for uploading Image:SG_04.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. I added additional source/authoring information-please let me know if anything else specifically needs to be changed. I also sent an OTRS permission to Wiki yesterday the 30th. MadjabudsMadjabuds
