File:Carlos Felipe de Habsburgo.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hello Ww2censor.
First of all I like to apologyze, because my English is not very good. The photo you have nominated for deletion is the only I can found of the Archduke Charles Phillip, but i don´t know how I must upload. I haven´t find the license in the web page. Can I and how upload this kind of pictures?
Thank you for your advice. --Ludovicus Ferdinandus (talk) 05:12, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I will try to explain in as simple English as possible. Unfortunately if you cannot exactly determine the copyright status of any image such as File:Carlos Felipe de Habsburgo.jpg you may not upload it here, even if it is the only image you can find of that person. I checked the website where you found the image and cannot find any copyright statements. That does not mean there is no copyright on the image. Copyright exists just by taking a photo and because we take copyright status very seriously here we err on the side of caution deleting image whose status is undetermined. Hope that helps. Ww2censor (talk) 16:18, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, and what can I do? Can I contact the photographer and then? How I must publish: http://www.mexikuli.com/wordpress/?page_id=90. This is the page of the Photographer. Please is very important to keep this Photo on, because some mexicans believe this person is the Titular Emperor of Mexico. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ludovicus Ferdinandus (talk • contribs) 15:32, 10 June 2012‎
Unfortunately it does not matter how important it is to have an image of a person for an article. If you cannot find a freely licenced image, there is nothing much you can do other than ask a copyright holder if they will release their image with a free licence. Some photographers may do that but others refuse and you cannot force them. You need to get them to verify their permission by emailing the OTRS Team by using one of the examples here but you also read COM:OTRS. Hope that helps. Ww2censor (talk) 04:28, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted some of your recent edit because it is not your job to add any detail that may be in the email from the copyright holder. That job will be done by one of the OTRS team when they have verified the permission given with the copyright holder. At that time they will add an official OTRS Ticket to the image to confirm it has been processed correctly. Please don't make any more edits until the OTRS Team have done their work. Ww2censor (talk) 03:22, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, excuse me, I think can I do that. O will wait for the resolution then. I have send the E-mail with the permission of the author yesterday, and I think she have make the same thing.
That ok, no worries. You just gave to wait until it is processed but the OTRS pending notice will usually avoid the image being deleted unless the permission is unacceptable. Cheers. Ww2censor (talk) 04:48, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ww2censor! My image has been deleted and the OTRS volunteers never send me nothing. What can I do? I have send them the Mail with the permission of the autor, and they never say if are correct, or if I missed something. I think, they must at least say me why they didn't acept the permission. The autor is really interesed and happy of making this contribution. Please Help Me!--Ludovicus Ferdinandus (talk) 23:39, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you sent the email you received to the OTRS team there is no need to put it here especially because it contains lots of personal contact details which we don't put on page to respect the privacy of the individuals. So I deleted it. The OTRS process is not necessarily a fast one; sometimes they take up to a month to process the request. Normally we ask that the copyright holder send the verification email to the OTRS Team, not you, by following the procedure found at COM:OTRS but they will make contact with the person mentioned in the email and try to confirm the licence and permission. When they are satisfied, an OTRS ticket will be attached to the images and if they were deleted they will be restored with the ticket. Hope that helps. Ww2censor (talk)

He observado tus magníficos trabajos heráldicos.

The shield displays a background of gold and green, depicting the close proximity of the Gold Coast with its beaches, and the Shire, with its lush forests and farmlands. The caducaeus, rod of Mercury, God of commerce, and the hammer for industry in general, lie between two heads alluding to the beef and dairy industries. The four bands in the chief symbolize the Shire's Strategic Plan, which when combined with the mural crown of civic authority, speak of the Council's commitment to the future welfare of the Shire.

The colours, black and gold, come from the Saxony arms of Prince Albert, after whom the Shire was named, and refer to industry (black) and resultant wealth (gold).

The kangaroo in the crest identifies the Shire as Australian, while the sugar canes allude to another local industry.

The two dogs commemorate the national origins of two men closely connected with the early history of the district. Captain Patrick Logan was from Berwickshire, Scotland, origin of the Border Collie. The German Shepherd honours Johann Heussler, from Hamburg in Germany.

Sorry for my bad english.

Saludos

Help with a personal heraldic project

[edit]

Are you willing to help me with a personal project of creating an SVG heraldic collar? The end result will be uploaded here under creative commons, but it is for my own use rather than for demonstrating an existing chivalric order. SiliconProphet (talk) 16:58, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
