2005 Nagaoka Festival

[edit]

Hello Kropsoq, I have put Media:2005 Nagaoka Festival 001.jpg on en:Nagaoka, Niigata. Thank you for uploading this great picture! - Thatdog 20:56, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your image Lepidoptera_004.jpg

[edit]

Hi Kropsoq, you uploaded the above mentioned picture. Good capture! :-) But the species is not from family Lycaenidae. For determination it would be very helpful if you could name the location you made the picture. Greetings from Germany, --Olei 08:38, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!! I corrected.--Kropsoq 13:49, 30 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Nymphalidae is correct. I guess it´s Nymphalis c-album. Can you tell something about the location you made the picture? Greetings, --Olei 22:16, 30 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I took it in Japan. I was taught in wp.jp that it may be Polygonia c-aureum. I cannnot understand it is Nymphalis c-album or Polygonia c-aureum.--Kropsoq 12:33, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That's why I asked for the location. It should be Polygonia c-aureum. I found the following Images in the Web: [1] [2] [3]. The first page shows c-album and c-aureum together. So someone can see the difference. I have created an article Polygonia c-aureum, the pictures are linked inside the article which belongs to category:Nymphalidae. Thats the way images are sorted within Lepidoptera. :-) Greetings, --Olei 21:46, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I knew the difference. Thank you very mach.--Kropsoq 14:47, 8 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Request

[edit]

Hi Kropsoq,

My name is Fernanda Viégas and I have been studying Wikipedia for a while now (you can see a paper I published on the subject here). I would like to ask you a few questions about your activities as a Wikipedia image creator. I am fascinated by the pictorial side of Wikipedia and it would be great to hear about this community from one of its members. Would you be available to participate an email survey this week? Thanks, — Fviegas | talk

Thank you for your message. but I am not good at English, so I'm sorry I cannot answer your request.--Kropsoq 13:18, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nagaoka Festival--pictures without fireworks?

[edit]

Hi Kropsoq, your pictures are great, thanks for uploading them!!! My question: I have seen 8 Nagaoka pictures (Image:2006 Nagaoka Festival 001.jpg until Image:2006 Nagaoka Festival 008.jpg) with no fireworks on the page of the Category:Fireworks. Did you have a special reason for that categorization (perhaps it was the preparation for the fireworks???), or can I delete the category label (not the pictures of course) so that the pictures will not be "category:Fireworks" anymore?

[Sorry, I don't speak Japanese, but if you prefer, I can look for another Wikipedia user to help us translate.] --Ibn Battuta 23:35, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I understood.--Kropsoq 10:56, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
