Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

I am not sure if this is the way to respond to your e-mail in regards to the jpg files that I have posted. The files are of paintings that I own, purchased at auction, and my understanding is that I purchased all rights to them.

Of the files that I have posted, they are commonly available in both web and print media. Both of them have been previously published by the estate of the seller.

Links available on this listing direct others to "Flicker" sites which detail multiple images of the artists, including those of my art works.

Let me know if I need to change anything, I want to share what I have with others.

Even if you own the original artwork on this, it doesn't mean you own the copyright. In particular, "PD-self" licensing is impossible... AnonMoos (talk) 00:36, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

I will often see a comment left on my user talk page much quicker than I will an e-mail. Usually, either the artist (or his heirs or assignees) retains copyright to the work, or possibly the publishing company if it was "work-for-hire". Unfortunately, legal copyright is not necessarily transferred along with physical ownership of the original artwork (usually it isn't, unless some special provision has been made)...
