Pay attention to copyright
File:ओम् तत् सत् 1.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

  • This file is a copyright violation for the following reason: metadata says it was authored by someone else than the uploader
Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

user:QueerEcofeminist Someone else created this for me. But it is not copyrighted. I'm not sure where to contest the speedy deletion. Kindly reply ASAP. Kabirisgod (talk) 06:52, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I contested the speedy deletion. The logo seems simple enough to be copyrightable. It's currently in a deletion request, which may be deleted or kept after at least 7 days. Please comment there. pandakekok9 08:48, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, Thanks. Kabirisgod (talk) 08:49, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This file may be deleted.
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj.jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

user:QueerEcofeminist, Do I need to mention the source of the Image of Saint Rampal Ji or the background? Also, the link you gave to fill the details, i can't figure out in which feild should i fill the details? Kabirisgod (talk) 09:07, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since Ecofeminist doesn't seem to see your reply, I'm gonna answer instead. If all of this file are your own work (the photo of the subject and the background, with the former being more important), you should upload the original photo of the subject (without the edited background). You can either upload it as a new file and link to it as your source, or overwrite this file and revert it back. Emailing OTRS is not necessary, unless the photo and/or background is not your own work (which in that case we need the copyright holder's permission for that). pandakekok9 02:19, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Alright user:pandakekok9. Actually, I discussed this at the commons:help desk in the "Information of an Image" thread. The original source of the Image is the Sanews.in team and I had taken their permission to upload this Image here to which they unequivocally agreed. I can upload the original Image here but because the original Source is the SA news team, perhaps it is more suitable if I ask Them to email OTRS. Thanks anyways for your guidance Kabirisgod (talk) 12:06, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
