Hallo, sind Category:Liste der Panzergrenadierverbände der Bundeswehr und Category:Coats of arms of Panzergrenadiertruppe (Heer of Bundeswehr) zufällig die gleichen Kategorien? Grüße --Brackenheim (talk) 13:19, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry keine Ahnung. Gruß --Jutta234 (talk) 14:12, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Gruß --Brackenheim (talk) 15:10, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Gruß --Jutta234 (talk) 17:15, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Danke! Ich hoffe, es stimmt jetzt... Grüße --Brackenheim (talk) 18:39, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

File mover
The functionality of the template Rename has recently changed. You might need to clear your cache to see the changes. If successful you should then be able to use the new "Quick adding" link in the template to instruct CommonsDelinker to replace the old name with the new name in all wikis. Please use that every time you rename a file. If further questions arise, feel free to write on my talk page --DieBuche (talk) 10:00, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Tip: Categorizing images
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 10:48, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Your recent uploads referring to Category:Canton of Vaud : Categorisation
Hi JuTa, please use useful categories and don't over-categorize your images, i.e. please do not categorize your uploads (an example of your recent activity):
You'll help to save time and capacity on commons by categorizing:
- Category:Faoug (and for example Category:Coats of arms of municipalities of the canton of Vaud)
Please use as far as possible the category of the regarding city/town/village or district (if there's no category) etc., or, a localized better 'fitting' i.e. the 'most fitting"' category(ies). Do not add - in addition - the categories of the "parent category", among them cities, states and countries etc.
For further information on categories please read Commons:Categories referring to an accurate categorisation, simplifying your further uploads and categorisation in general. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the commons:help desk.
Thank you for your assistance, Roland 84.75.160.122 22:29, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello JuTa,
You mightn't know, but the Postbuses are not and never been vehicles from the Deutsche Post. They all belonged to the Kraftpost, which was part of the Deutsche Bundespost. So the Category:Deutsche Post vehicles is wrong! Apart from the fact, that those buses were already decommissioned, when there was only a Deutsche Post of the GDR. Also, I think, it's COM:OVERCAT as Kraftpost already links higher to the Postal vehicles of Germany. So please leave the Category:Deutsche Post vehicles off the page of Deutsche Bundespost Buses. Joerg, the BajanZindy (talk) 22:43, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
- I dont understand the difference between Deutsche Post (a disambig) and Deutsche Bundespost. The reason for my change was that I could find it anwhere in a subcat of Category:Postal vehicles, but I didnt realized that it is a gallery and not a category. What, in your eyes, is the "Deutsche Post"? For me, and acording the :de: disambig any of the german posts west/east/whatever. regards --JuTa (talk) 22:56, 17 October 2010 (UTC) PS: If you are german we can talk in german.
Also eine zeitliche Einordnung, kein Ost/West-Fall.
Klassischer Denk- bzw. Aufmerksamkeitsfehler. Gruß --JuTa (talk) 23:38, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
