Hallo Johann, hab heute nacht die überquellende Category:Winter etwas entrümpelt und bin dabei auf viele deiner Bilder gestoßen. Du hast ja ein gutes Auge für schöne "Fotomodelle", :o). Ich konnte nicht widerstehen, dieses schön gewählte Motiv etwas zu entrauschen und aufzuhellen. Falls du nicht damit einverstanden bist: einfach zurücksetzen. Kategorien

Hallo Johann, Du hast einige sehr schöne Bilder hochgeladen, leider aber noch ein einige Probleme mit den Kategorien. Ein Beispiel sind Deine Bilder in Category:Nature. Dass sie dort ganz alleine stehen, sollte Dir eigentlich schon sagen, dass hier etwas nicht stimmt. Category:Nature ist einfach soooo allgemein, dass so gut wie alles hineinpasst. Meide solche zu allgemeinen Kategorien bitte grundsätzlich. Dieses gilt wie im Image:Lake Keutschach foehn mood 07022008 33.jpg auch für Category:Weather und Category:Winter, denn es gibt zehntausende von Fotos in denen irgendwie Wetter und Winter zu sehen ist. Würden die alle so kategorisiert, wie Du es gemacht hast, wären die Kategorien bald mit einem Chaos gefüllt. Versuche also bitte so genau wie möglich zu kategorisieren. Statt Category:Winter also beispielsweise Category:Winter in Austria. Bei Bedarf lassen sich auch zusätzliche Kategorien erzeugen! Beim gleichen Beispielbild hast Du mit einer Kategorie übertrieben. Da die genauere Category:Lakes of Carinthia ein Teil der allgemeineren Category:Carinthia ist, ist die allgemeine Kategorie überflüssig. Für Image:Bauernhaus Trenta 06052006 21.jpg ist auch Category:National parks viel zu allgemein. Siehe doch mal in die Kategorie hinein, da lässt sich doch zumindest das Land angeben, in dem der Nationalpark liegt. Usw., usw., usw. Wenn Du noch Fragen hast, helfe ich Dir gerne! Fehlbezeichnung

Hallo Johann, mir sind ein paar Fehler aufgefallen: Das Bild Image:Trieste alte Boerse Rueckseite 09022008 01.jpg ist falsch bezeichnet: es stellt nicht die alte Börse dar, sondern das "Tergesteo" (wie auch an der Aufschrift oben am Gebäude zu erkennen ist). Auch der Geotag ist falsch, laut Google Maps jedenfalls entsprechen die Koordinaten dem Gebäude des Lloyd Triestino, von wo aus das Tergesteo bestimmt nicht zu sehen ist (schon gleich gar nicht in der angegebenen Richtung).

Ebenfalls laut Google Maps, ist auch der Geotag für Image:Trieste Café degli specchi 09022008 02.jpg falsch; er weist ebenfalls auf das Lloyd-Gebäude, das Café befindet sich jedoch im Palazzo Stratti.

Waterways category

Hello, I asked to remove the Waterways category that groups "canals, rivers, lakes, seas and marked ways on any kind of water, which permit boats and ships to navigate." This category scheme is not compatible with the current category scheme where we try to better categorise/identify country and geographic subdivisions. Waterways is way too generic and cannot be integrated in the currect category scheme. --Foroa (talk) 14:20, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Architecture

Could you possibly stop placing articles directly in Category:Architecture when you also have a more specific category (e.g. Category:Buildings in Carinthia)? As a note in Category:Architecture makes clear, it's a main category which rarely should have pictures directly in it. Over the last few weeks, I've diffused out perhaps 400 pictures, maybe a quarter of them yours, but I notice that you are the only frequent contributor who at all regularly is adding pictures directly to the category. - Jmabel ! talk 02:52, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Nochmal hallo Johann, diesmal auf deutsch ein paar Hinweise. Du hast wieder eine Reihe von Bildern in die Category:Architecture gepackt. Ich hab ehrlich gesagt keine Lust, hinter Dir herzuraeumen. Beispiel Image:Klagenfurt Annabichl Ehrentaler Strasse 24 Kindergarten 31102008 03.jpg:

Siehe Commons:Featured_picture_candidates! Dein Bild Image:Ferlacher Stausee Strassenbruecke Matzen 24012008 66.jpg ist nominiert, dürfte aber aus einem einzigen Grund durchfallen. Bei genauerer Betrachtung ist das Bild aber heftig überschärft.
