Missing information

[edit]

Hi, all photos on WikiCommons must be accompanied with source information, eg. a source who can credibly verify that the photo is released under a free license. Please provide this information for the photos you have uploaded. Photos without source information may be deleted. Thuresson 03:46, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop uploading images without proper source claiming they are PD, PD-old or GFDL !!! You must add your image source to verify the license ! --Denniss 02:46, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Missing information

[edit]

Hi, all images on WikiCommons must have a source that can verify that the images are freely licensed. The source is also necessary for others to check your work. I have previously asked you to add this information to your uploads. I notice however that you have not yet tagged the images in the list above and that you have forgotten to add the information to newer images.

If you continue to upload images without source information I will block you from using this service. Thuresson 01:10, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

[edit]

Hi, you asked me how to add a category to an image:

  1. Go to a particular image, eg. Image:Juve.jpg
  2. On top of the page you can see a tab called "Edit" or "Editar"
  3. You are now able to edit the description page
  4. Add the category you think is relevant by adding [[Category:Soccer teams]]
  5. Click "Preview" (Mostrar previsão) to see that everything looks OK
  6. Click "Save" (Salvar página) if everything is OK

See also pt:Wikipedia:Categorias to learn about how categories work. Good luck, Thuresson 16:41, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

License

[edit]

Hi, you asked: "But I would like to know also which would be the correct license for photographs that I even photographed?". For the photos that you yourself has photographed you can either add {{GFDL-self}} or {{Cc-by-sa}} to the image description page.

If the photographer has given you permission to upload photos to WikiCommons you need to add under which conditions. There are many different copyright tags to choose from at Commons:Marcas de direitos autorais but if you are uncertain you can use your own words to describe the conditions. Remember that WikiCommons only accepts images that the photographer allows anybody to use for any purpose.

You are not allowed to upload other people's photos without their permission. I also recommend reading Commons:Primeiros passos. Thuresson 01:02, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
