Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. The chinese character 囍 refers to marrige, this is what every Chinese people knows. This could not refer to Confucianism Symbol! It would only be a joke.百家姓之四 (talk) 13:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Hi Jeepday! Thanks for uploading Brown marmorated stink bug adults.jpg.
I've added http://www.invasive.org/browse/detail.cfm?imgnum=1113009 as source information to the image description page so that you don't have to search for the picture in the gallery. Moreover there is that fat cc-by logo on the right side which user and admins like a lot, because it's much easier to verify that this image was released under a free licence. I added also Watermarked, because black box in the right bottom corner, wich should be removed if possible.

- The black box is the image file number, the only way to remove it would be to crop the picture. IMHO removing the file number would take more benefit then it would add. Jeepday (talk) 22:44, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT (talk) 05:53, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Confucianism Symbol
[edit]Hello Jeepday. I decided to keep based on whether the image is used/within scope, its license etcetera, namely "commons stuff". Like you, I am not an expert on the subject and don't know which should be the proper name (it seems though that it probably isn't a "symbol of Confucianism"). If you feel OK with the name proposed by Jappalang (who I have no reason to doubt, but then again there were no other opinions), let's absolutely do it. - Done. I requested a rename for both files, so they'll be bot-renamed soon. Thanks for the rebound and the help. Cheers! - Badseed talk 17:38, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
