Category:Roman baths in Sliema

Are you sure that these are Roman baths? I can't find a reliable source that they're Roman baths, and this information sign states that they were excavated in the late 19th century. I just saw your reply to Jianhui67 so sorry to bother you again :( I believe that you are active enough to be an admin anyways. Being admin doesn't mean that you have to spend hours closing DR's. The tools are also there for those who can use them tagging, nomintaing etc.

district oder District

Hallo Ies, Kategorien von pakistanischen Districten, sind mal mit district mal mit District benannt, ein Benutzer hat bei ein paar zusätzl. zu bestehenden welche mit District erstellt und als MutterKategorie der jeweiligen mit district plaziert. Die Artikel der Districten von folgender Provinz en:Balochistan,_Pakistansind mit District benannt. Was meinst du commons-category mit district oder District. Und sollten die anderen dann zu category redirects gemacht werden oder badname. Denn es ist ja an sich ein Schreibfehler, denn Category redirects Categories werden bei hotcat angezeigt und so kann etwas in eine Category redirect Category gesteckt werden. So dann bin ich gespannt auf deine Antwort :) Danke. Hallo Jean, sicher sind wir uns darin einig, dass alle Distrikte gleich, also entweder alle klein oder alle groß geschrieben werden sollten. Grundsätzlich sind beide Schreibweisen möglich. Der klein geschriebene Xxx district bezieht sich eher auf die Bezeichnung (Beispiel: Category:Historic districts in Ohio by county), der groß geschriebene Xxx District eher auf den Namen (Beispiel: Category:Jaite Mill Historic District). Ich würde daher für die Kategorien der pakistanischen Distrikte die groß geschriebenen Varianten für die Namen bevorzugen. Die klein geschriebenen Varianten sollten mit Category redirects umgeleitet werden. Mach es! :) -- Ies (talk) 19:46, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Hallo Tnemtsoni, das Problem lag nicht an einer fehlenden Lizenz, sondern an einem ungeeigneten Motiv. Diese "Baustellenschilder", auf denen künstlerisch dargestellt wird, wie es nach Beendigung der Bauarbeiten aussehen soll, zeigen erstens eine künstlerische Darstellung und sind zweitens nicht bleibend, sondern nur bis zur Beendigung der Bauarbeiten aufgestellt. Bilder davon fallen daher nicht unter die Panoramafreiheit und dürfen hier nicht unter einer freien Lizenz veröffentlicht werden. Gruß, -- Ies (talk) 04:22, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Hallo Frank, deine Datei ist schon einige Zeit als Motd vorgeschlagen. Allerdings stimmt da das Seitenverhältnis nicht ganz, so dass das Video leicht verzerrt wiedergegeben wird. Solltest du noch die Originaldatei besitzen, wäre es schön daraus nochmal mit einer AR von 16:9 neu zu codieren und die genannte Datei hier auf Commons entsprechend zu updaten. Nein, das Bild ist tatsächlich richtig rum gedreht. Du hattest sehr wahrscheinlich noch das auf dem Kopf stehende Bild im Speicher Deines Rechners. Mache in einem solchen Fall einen Refresh (drücke bei einem Windows-System die F5-Taste) oder sage Deinem Browser, dass er die Seite (mit dem Bild) neu laden soll, um die korrigierte Version zu sehen. Auch wenn Du Deinen Browser heute neu gestartet hast, müsste er Dir das Bild nun richtig herum anzeigen. -- Ies (talk) 15:40, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Der WLM-Countdown hat begonnen

nun ist es wieder soweit. Vom 1. bis zum 30. September findet zum fünften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Im Mittelpunkt steht bekanntlich das Fotografieren von Kulturdenkmalen. Du hast an einem der letzten Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen und wir freuen uns auf weitere Bildbeiträge von Dir.

Viele interessante Motive, nicht nur Burgen und Schlösser, sondern auch Fachwerkhäuser, Brücken und Brunnen, technische und Industriedenkmale und vieles mehr gibt es noch zu fotografieren, damit sie in der Wikipedia dokumentiert werden können. Nützliche Tipps findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite. Du kannst gerne individuell Fototouren durchführen oder aber Dich auch Gruppentouren anschließen. Besonders freuen wir uns auf Fotos, die Lücken in den Denkmallisten der Wikipedia ausfüllen.

Darüber hinaus kannst Du auch an der Arbeit der Jury teilnehmen, die Mitte Oktober die Fotos bewerten und die Gewinner ermitteln wird. Bis zum 15. August kannst du hier Deine Bewerbung einreichen.

Pics to be deleted pls

Hi, sorry to bother you. I got too enthusiastic and uploaded 10 pics of sculptures (recently made, by some skilled unknown person) in the Category:Arboretum national des Barres along with many others. Realized the mistake when I got to look for categories to put these in, and by then the lot was uploaded along with the rest of the (large) batch, couldn't remove them without removing the whole lot. Seeing that today my computer is very (very very!) slow (driving me nuts!), I did not have the courage to do that so I thought I'd title them "to be deleted-x" then ask someone to get them removed as I don't know how else to ask for it. You are the last one who had pics deleted wth msgs on my talk page so that's it, got to ask you. SOO sorry. I hope you'll forgive me but it's getting really late, I've been procrastinating for quite a while to do this, and it's got to happen tonight when the *** connection is playing up and with my antique laptop. With my sincere apologies for the extra work it gives you... At least you can skip putting a message for these deletions in my talk page, of course. Thanks in advance. A category I can't create

This is becoming even more embarrassing. I must ask you something else.

Abies vilmorinii

I can't categorize the category Abies vilmorinii because the category it is supposed to fit in is not straightforward. It should go (I think) in the page Category:Abies. But that category shows pictures for each sub-category, and moreover the titles rightfully are in italics. I don't know how to do either, sub-categ in pics nor italic titles.
