[edit]130 Bellefield is actually called the "Bellefield Professional Building". The off-campus housing office is actually located in Ruskin Hall. It's being converted into undergraduate dorms for the fall. Keep uploading those photos!Crazypaco 18:12, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
You've uploaded a derivative work | We're sorry, but Image:RobertoClementePoem.JPG has been marked as a copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content, that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Photographs of copyrighted works are also subject to the same copyright, and therefore this photo must unfortunately be considered non-free. For more information, please read Commons:Derivative works and Commons:Freedom of panorama.
The file you added will soon be deleted. If you believe this image is not a derivative work, please explain why on the image description page.

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Feature Picture Nomination
[edit]Hallo, Commons:Featured picture candidates/Image:HillmanLibraryPitt.jpg has been closed as not featured. Better luck next time! naerii 08:16, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Please do a group DR when your reason for nominating several images is the same. This saves work for everyone. — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 16:56, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I don't know how to do that. Will try it next time.--TheZachMorrisExperience (talk) 02:54, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Correct deletion procedure
[edit]Ordinarily, valid information, categories, etc. should not be removed from an image description page when nominating an image for deletion. AnonMoos (talk) 05:32, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- This are my images that I'm deleting, so it is OK.--TheZachMorrisExperience (talk) 11:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- No, it is not OK to remove valid information, categories, etc. from image description pages in most circumstances. AnonMoos (talk) 16:23, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- No, the copyright tags that I removed (which were mostly cc-by) were not valid. These photos are all copyvios that will be deleted directly anyways. Seriously, I am doing the right thing here by self-nominating my own photos for deletion because they are derivative works of copyrighted materials that aren't covered under US freedom of panorama. I refer you to Commons:Freedom of panorama#United States, (which applies to these photos, as they were taken in the US)"
- "For artworks, even if permanently installed in public places, the U.S. copyright law has no similar [freedom of panorama] exception, and any publication of an image of a copyrighted artwork thus is subject to the approval of the copyright holder of the artwork." --TheZachMorrisExperience (talk) 16:44, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

- Listen ZME. If you give me a minute to find it, I will. Part of the problem is that in tagging the images for deletion you incorrectly removed all the dat from the images. I have to now revert your mistakes, and then tend to finding the image. I'll need more than 30 secoonds. Evrik (talk) 17:07, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- If you don't stop tagging the images for deletion, I'm going to go to the admin baord and report the incident. Please Stop.Evrik (talk) 17:09, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- First, stop tagging the images for deletion. Evrik (talk) 17:10, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- If you don't stop tagging the images for deletion, I'm going to go to the admin baord and report the incident. Please Stop.Evrik (talk) 17:09, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Your refusal to be cooperative leaves me no choice then but to go to the admin board. Evrik (talk) 17:12, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Note: My good faith attempts to clean up my own copyvios were greeted with this hyperbolic complaint to admin board: Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Archives/User problems 7#User:TheZachMorrisExperience. Result: dismissed without comment. --HoboJones (talk) 17:59, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
