User talk:Hanna V
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

Please link images
[edit]Hello - thank you for providing images to the wikimedia commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the commons should be useful to all users of wikimedia projects - this is possible only if the images can be found by other people. To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should either place the images on topic pages (galleries) or put the images directly into a category, or do both (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help. You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files here: Gallery
The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There is a large number of completely unsorted images on the commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do! Thank you. -Samulili 17:58, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Narnia stuff
[edit]There is no difference between Book covers and album covers. Both are copyrighted and so unusable on Commons, as we do not accept Fair Use images here. The only reason that the book covers were not deleted is that I did not know that image existed. If the project you are uploading for accepts Fair Use images, you may be able to upload there. Hope that helps.--Nilfanion 20:08, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks. The whole licensing system is quite difficult :) I thought that photo was ok, because that book cover photo is here too. --Hanna V 20:40, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Finish Warmblood
[edit]Is there a difference between the finnish Warmblood an the Finnhorse of riding type? Kersti (talk) 14:49, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
- Those are two different breeds. Finnish Warmblood is based on other European warmblood breeds. Riding type Finnhorse is one of the four sections of Finnhorse. It's breeded from old Finnish coldblood draft horses and it's pure Finnish breed. --Hanna V (talk) 15:42, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
