Hello Kenfyre, yes it is obvious that Irfan Hussain died in 1999, and we claimed the image as "Own work" (as standard wording) but in the description very well clearly written, when and by whom it is created (obviously Cartoon By Irfan Hussain). Here let us describe further detail which we cant able to mention here. Cartoonist Irfan Hussain and Shekhar Gurera both were close friends and were colleague in same publications, The Pioneer in between 1991-1997 and most of the original art-works (cartoons) drawn while being in that publication are preserved collectively and now with Mr Gurera. Since we are here to preserve proper and authentic information at wikipedia so while knowing the facts of proper source of contents about the person who has been died in 1999, we contacted Mr Gurera to help us. On request and assurance of proper use of Irfan's work, Mr Gurera provided us and allowed us the scanned copies from the original for the cause. We think and expect that team will soften their norms in this particular situation and will rethink about the Commons:Deletion requests. This photo was also clicked within office during those days as personal collection and later was also provided to the media by the colleague during Irfan's unfortunate assassination. Hello Sir, As also mentioned, let me clear in more detail, "Famous Fifteen" was the name of the cartoon exhibition of Famous Fifteen Senior Cartoonists, some of them were already no more at the time of the exhibition. IIC is one and only non profit organization of cartoonists in India which preserve and exhibit their work. This image of collective photographs of 15 cartoonists (not individually clicked) is a part of the main "poster design" by me in print of the exhibition "Famous Fifteen" during August17-31, 2013, organized by IIC ... This image can be used as the collective information of the exhibition ... Regards Gurera (talk) 19:24, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Krd, Regarding the signature of a renowned cartoonist, As already explained in emails, Let me again explain a bit, The cartoonist whose signature is here has died just last month (Nov 26, 2019) at the age of 88. so as per the routine norms, officially we cant get his permission. Also no possibility of his heir or any kind of any legacy, his wife (she's also very old to talk & do formalities for no reason. Since the signature is not that of banking or other privacy kind, but used to publish in daily newspaper inside his cartoons as an "autograph". Such signatures are the identity to recognize their work. The image was clicked by me from a regular daily newspaper from 1995. His signature (art) was been published in his daily cartoons in newspapers (i have several original clippings & pics of it) Obviously the signature image is being used none other than only in his profile [| Sudhir Dar] referring it just as his art signature, the way plenty of other cartoonist's art signature are already there for same reason. e.g. [| R. K. Laxman], [|Kaak (cartoonist)], [| Stephen Hillenburg], [| George Herriman] etc. Considering no possibility of any objection from any side, if today we can't proceed with his signature, i don't think in future there will be another attempt from any side to wiki his signature. or better suggest the way out. to fulfil the criteria for the died person. --Gurera (talk) 11:06, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
