Personal information templates
[edit]Hi Guillaume,
I found some personalized information templates which are seen as not machine readable. Example images follow:
Is it the easiest to add the tags to those?
Mvg, Basvb (talk) 15:14, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Basvb,
- Some personalized templates do seem to have the machine-readable tags; That's the case of the one on the first photo. For the second one, yes, it's a good idea to add the tags to those. In case they're not tables, we can now use classes instead of cell IDs for the tags, so it's easier. Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 17:24, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
False positive files without information templates
[edit]Hi Guillaume,
If we look at the number of files for given authors without information template we can see user Mti which has 1020 listed. However when I look at the tool to add the info-templates we currently see 0 images (it was 3 I fixed those, so the tally should be 1020-3=1017 misclassified). If I look at the list of files which you provided I indeed see those circa 1000 files of Mti, an example is File:Wada Chiba chapter.JPG, if we look in the history we see it hasn't been edited recently, thus it's not the case that these 1000 files have been fixed today. The same problem where files are reported being without information templates but actually have them appears to a large extend with the uploads from "File Upload Bot (Magnus Manske)" which has almost 6000 files listed missing info templates but actually only seems to have 1200 missing info templates (well most of those are errors with missing }'s). Is there an explanation for this issue? Or is it a bug?
Mvg, Basvb (talk) 21:18, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- Same issue seems to hold for 1100 files from "Martin Greslou" for example File:Mariana Vartic Paris2.jpg. And for files by "GerWsUpload", both have only 1 file which really has no information templates but are listed above 1100. Mvg, Basvb (talk) 22:02, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- Basvb: I don't know the reason for this. It's probably an error I made somewhere but I need to investigate further to find the cause. I'm sorry for this! Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 17:27, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Basvb: Ah! I think I found the cause. Many of those images seem to have talk pages (in many cases, because they were nominated for deletion and kept) so there must be something wrong in the query with the namespace selection. I'll try to fix it. Thank you for noticing! Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 17:45, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- I've made a few tweaks to the queries and now the false positives shouldn't be listed. It may take another day for the results in the text files to be updated. Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 18:00, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Nice, I'll see what happens at the next update! Mvg, Basvb (talk) 20:44, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Wow, those big uploaders (bots with loads of uploads) dropped down drastically (the authorlist). Tomorrow we wont have any uploaders with more than 5000 pages without information templates. Mvg, Basvb (talk) 00:55, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Dear Guilllaume,
may you send me the data behind the metadata cleanup statistics as CSV? I would like to do another Commons statistics (Categorization, Featured pictures)--Kopiersperre (talk) 10:17, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- Kopiersperre: I'm sorry for missing your message. I don't have the data in CSV format; however, all the data is available for historical tallies for Commons and for all wikis. That's all I have, unfortunately. Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 21:40, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- What was your workflow in creating the SVG? Generally I have problems contacting WMF staff. Which channel do you prefer for messaging?--Kopiersperre (talk) 14:15, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- Kopiersperre: I probably took the JSON file, did some basic search-and-replace, and then processed the data in a spreadsheet. If that's not something you can do with the new data, then I can probably do it and send you the file, but I need to know exactly what you want. Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 15:33, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
Translation adminship
[edit]Hi Guillaume, you granted yourself translation adminship on 10 October 2014 and used it immediately thereafter for two actions but never since. I've removed this right per this policy in response to this request. Please feel free to grant yourself the right again whenever you need it. Cordially, AFBorchert (talk) 11:46, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- AFBorchert: No problem. Thank you for the note :) Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 15:34, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
