Categories
[edit]Hi and once again welcome. I love your images, they have improved our coverage of remote Queensland greatly.
I have noticed that you have tried to use a hierarchical approach to categorisation at present by adding very broad categories such as Category:Australia to images. So you are aware, the category system is already hierarchical, so:
- Category:Queensland is a sub-category of Category:Australia;
- Category:Geography of Queensland is a sub-category of Category:Queensland;
- Category:Towns in Queensland is a sub-category of Category:Geography of Queensland, and
- Category:Boulia, Queensland is a sub-category of Category:Towns in Queensland;
Therefore if an image is , lets say, it is already in all the categories sitting above it and does not need to be included separately. Try and make your categories as specific as possible and see Commons:Categories or Commons:Help desk for more advice.

Hi, thanks very much!
I will look into these tips next time. I haven't unfortunately got the time to contribute very often but if I come across an article lacking a photo that I have, I will.
