LIGO files
[edit]I've gone ahead and uploaded a few videos from LIGO.
- File:Simulation of GW170104.webm
- File:Ripples in Spacetime Pond.webm
- File:Black Hole Merger Simulation GW170104.webm
- File:Simulation binary black-hole coalescence GW170104.webm
- File:Mirrors That Hang On Glass Threads.webm (in progress)
I think it's generally better to include these in high-quality video format rather than GIF. Guanaco (talk) 21:50, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
I also found this YouTube channel which has a lot of related videos under CC BY, which you can upload with Commons:video2commons. Guanaco (talk) 00:54, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! I have a feeling these videos will be very useful on here. Gizatsby (talk) 01:23, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- No problem. Be careful if you see stuff originating at https://www.black-holes.org/ because some of it may be CC BY-NC. I've had to mark File:Simulation binary black-hole coalescence GW170104.webm for deletion because of this. Guanaco (talk) 01:31, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
