I noticed that you uploaded a file using the name File:Geiger Mueller Counter with Circuit-en.svg. A file by this name already existed on Commons. Overwriting an existing file should not be done except when making minor, uncontroversial corrections, so the file has been restored to its previous version. If the file that you attempted to upload is within our project scope and is in the public domain or published under a free license, please upload it again under a different name. Thank you. Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Dear Geologicharka,

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

• In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
• In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

1. 157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
2. In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
3. In third place, 131 people voted for an image of a swallow flying and drinking.

Balkans Relief Map

Hello,

Ćao, imam primjedbu na kartu https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montenegro#/media/File:Relief_map_of_Montenegro.png Loše su granice postavljene prema Bilećkom jezeru (koje nije ucrtano), a Prevlaku i Sutorinu si "poklonila" Hrvatima. Možeš li to da ispraviš? Hvala i Pozz

Hm, pa granice sam skinula sa interneta, tako da jedino ako nađem dobre, mogu da ih promenim. Sada vidim i ja to, inače nisam obratila bila pažnju. --Geologicharka (talk) 18:44, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Relief and administrative division maps

Hi Ana! I'm truly grateful for some of the files that you have uploaded to wiki community! In particular - File:Relief map of Serbia.png (link) and others. I'm working on several hundred of articles concerning settlements in Serbia (municipalities, cities, districts etc) and files such as yours are giving another dimension to their quality. Are you interested in helping me with these high-profile images, by adding administrative borders to Serbia's map and even split these images for only Belgrade's territory, so that we can pinpoint a location with coordinates to them, just like it is the case here: List of spa towns in Serbia (en wiki). A requested file would be a combination of your File:Relief map of Serbia.png and my file on Wikimedia: File:Belgrade Municipalities Vračar.png (link), except for filled color, only borders should stay, just like it is with international borders, except that these can have and relief of bordering municipalities. Колегинице Ана, не можете на чланак о битци убацити географску мапу да се издваја са парспатуом, већ је морате убацити тако да она буде део галерије, јер издвојена мапа квари изглед странице. Будући да се бавите географијом, уместо мапе могли би сте да урадите 3Д изометријске мапе битака са позицијама 3Д модела војника, 3Д шанцем и топографским моделом терена, то би нам више користило као помоћно средство. На 3Д изометријску мапу сматрам оно што су за 200 годишњицу урадили Историјска реконструкција битке на Чегру, а ја могу да доставим комплет податке о битци, будући да сакупљам грађу о устаничким биткама.Ако хоћете...
