ants

[edit]

I just saw that you worked a bit on Category:Formica and uploaded at least some ants and therefore hope that you can help me...

Image:Formica cf lugubris 3.jpg, a featured picture, is classified as two different ant species (in English it's said to be Formica polyctena, while it's Formica lugubris in the German description - any idea which one is correct?

sorry for the long delay, usually I am working on the german wikipedia, and don't logon here very often.

I'm afraid, that both is not correct. It seem like subgenus Serviformica could also be F. uralensis but completley unsure. I'll take a look soon, and try to get an expert involved. Cya, Garinger 15:12, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
