What is the source for the underlying map? It looks like it might be OpenStreetMap. If so, it needs an appropriate licence notice. If not, it may have to be deleted. Brianjd (talk) 15:38, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

There is an ongoing discussion about OpenStreetMap licence notices. I think the correct template for your case is {{ODbL OpenStreetMap}}, which I have already added to the file. Brianjd (talk) 09:58, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

This file may be deleted.

A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Avestan geography mihr yasht.png, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". The underlying topography was taken from opentopography.org. Regarding their terms of use, they state in their website that "Data obtained from OpenTopography are free of all copyright restrictions and made fully and freely available for both non-commercial and commercial uses." How do I acknolegde that in the decription of the file? 95.90.208.185 05:10, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

So I changed the source for the underlying topography from opentopography.org to www.demis.nl since the latter has a open-acess license acknoledged by Wikipedia.
