Autopatrol given
[edit]
Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. Abzeronow (talk) 19:26, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

Categorization by Template
[edit]Hi Feitidede,
I see files coming into Category:Flag Lab which doesn't exist, as {{Graphic Lab||flag}}
misses a parameter.
Instead, {{Graphic Lab|en|flag}}
or {{Graphic Lab|Commons|flag}}
may be used; it's possible as well to specify the Lab, instead, in the Igen
string, for an example, respectively {{Igen|I|+|s=f|g=en}}
or {{Igen|I|+|s=f|gc}}
.
Also, clicking on the valid
link there shows the w3c status of the file.
As info, I've already moved some of your flags from the non-existing category above to Category:Flag Lab-Commons.

- I'm sorry, I though that the template automatically filled the first parameter with "en" which meant I did not have to insert it myself. I will use the Igen template you indicated. Thank you very much for pointing this out. Feitidede☆゚.* 20:00, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi Feitidede,
I saw that there is another version of this coat of arms that were used, one with "BRASIL" instead of "BRAZIL" which can be found at File:Armas nacionais Dec Lei 4545-1942.JPG. Do you think you could create the version with "BRASIL"? Thank you. Colohisto (talk) 20:09, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- sure thing Feitidede☆゚.* 03:59, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
- here you go: File:Coat of arms of Brazil (variant 2, 1889–1968).svg Feitidede☆゚.* 04:13, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
Irregularities in the coats of arms.
[edit]Hi, there. I'm so thankful to you as you have uploaded the SVG coats of arms of populated places of Kirovohrad Oblast, but I'd like to let you know that I find something off. The colors used by the SVG files don't match with the color schemes used by their original versions.
Coats of arms:
-
Coat of arms of Petrove
Done
-
Coat of arms of Dmitrovka
Done
-
Coat of arms of Krasnosillya
Done
-
Coat of arms of Novohrihorivka
Done
-
Coat of arms of Chervona Kam'yanka
Done
SVG Coat of arms
-
Coat of Arms of Petrove (2001-2016)
-
Coat of Arms of Petrove
-
Coat of Arms of Dmytrivka
-
Coat of Arms of Krasnosillia
-
Coat of Arms of Novohryhorivka
-
Coat of Arms of Chervona Kamianka
Here are the original features I've think it should be in the SVG files:
Gold border: Petrove old, Chervona Kamianka
Rose gold-gold border: Krasnosillia
Yellow border: Dmytrivka
Orange mural crown: Dmytrivka
Red shield outlining: Dmytrivka
Gold shield outlining: Chervona Kam'yanka
White shield outlining: Petrove old, Novohryhorivka
No shield outlining: Krasnosillia
I'd like to tell you again that I'm not a expert in heraldry. I've just spotted some things that are off to me and it'd be great if you work on those irregularities. Other than that, thank you for vectorizing the coats of arms. That was really helpful. As I said, I hope you rework on the SVG files soon. Thank you. ★♚★♛★ 🅾🅿🅴🆁🅰🆃🅸🅾🅽𝒮𝒶𝓀𝓊𝓇𝒶6144 ★♛★♚★ 《♦ talk • ♥ contributions • ♠ global • ♣ rights》 14:02, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- "In heraldry, there is no one “correct” way to create a representation of a coat of arms, unlike with logos and emblems where the representation must be the official one. This is because in heraldry, any drawing based on its corresponding definition is correct so long as the artist makes the coat of arms in line with the textual description and that the representation is readily recognizable as such by a herald."
- Please check Commons:Coats of arms and Template:Coa blazon for more information. This explains why the "border" of these coat of arms are different. The actual description of these coat of arms only specify what is inside the console. The original consoles used to create these files can be found on Category:SVG coat of arms elements - heraldic consoles.
- Coat of arms are also directly linked to their respective flags, which is why the Coat of Arms of Krasnosillia for instance has the same shade of blue as the flag. The mural crown of Dmytrivka is specified as red according to the official blazon. The "shield outlining" is also not specified on the descriptions, but that means I could also have made them matching the reference pictures you sent. I would have put a red border on the coat of arms of Dmitrovka but the government's most widely used version does not have it. Feitidede☆゚.* 14:52, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
