Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

It is not the purpose of Wikimedia Commons to promote a site

In many of your uploads you have put the authorship as an active wikilink to a commercial organization with whom you would apparently have a relationship. If you are here as a true contributor to the Wikimedia sites and philosophy, then please do not put commercial links on files. If you are here to advertise a service, then you are at the wrong place. I have removed the wikilinks. Thanks.

If the media content is created by an organization which Wikimedia Commons rule prevents me from crediting the author correctly? Oh, you claimed those images as being yours, now you are saying that they are not. Please have the organisation undertake permissions per Com:OTRS and if they have not been so then we will need to delete them as copyright violation. If the media content is created by an organization which Wikimedia Commons rule prevents me from crediting the author correctly? I would be grateful if you would give me a link, because I could not find it. Maybe I'm wrong, but following your logic, thousands of pages of Wikimedia Commons should be edited. For example: [Tony Alter uploads] Possibly "Tony Alter" is a commercial photographer. According to your logic, should I remove the link to his commercial account in Flicker? He's engaged in promotion? I assure you, I can find thousands of such examples. In addition, we conducted large photo sessions (with high quality media) as teaching material for medical procedures. Such content will be ABSOLUTELY USEFUL for users. All I want is to respect the copyright of the media creator. Am I legally entitled to do so? Commons:Project scope clearly states no advertising and promotion. You are being argumentative to try and have promotional links. Deal with your issues. @Billinghurst: You do not need to delete images. I think deleting media is the easiest way. But is it correct? So, I will submit to OTRS a document from the author's organization. Will this remove your authorship question? Anyway, I want to say that I am not pursuing a goal - promotion. Believe me or not. We, as a medical organization, decided to share content that is simply not available on the Internet. Perhaps the first step was a little flawed... Fedor-media (talk) 09:37, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
