Re: Image from Flickr
[edit]The best option to transfer images from Flickr is Flickr2Commons, just get you TUSC-login there, it is realy simple. Otherwise you can use the Special:Upload and the option "it is from Flickr", just fill out all fields with the correct informations. We only accept images licensed cc-by or cc-by-sa from Flickr so that everyone can use the images for every purpose including commercial use. --Martin H. (talk) 01:17, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- No, File:Por Cobardia 006.jpg is not ok', you failed to provide the correct source (weblink to the flickr image), the image will be deleted because it is unsourced. Take one of my latest uploads as example: File:Beach of Coatinha in Benguela, Angola.jpg, thats the way the page must look. --Martin H. (talk) 03:41, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- Any password you like. You will need the TUSC password in future to make uploads with this tool. It says: not you Commons passwort for security, TUSC is not Wikimedia, so you should use another password there. --Martin H. (talk) 04:00, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- I dont know, repeat the account creation here, enter Fckbaby, commons, wikipedia and then klick the next step and follow the instructions. --Martin H. (talk) 04:08, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Por_Cobardia_006.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. |

Critically evaluate Flickr licenses | One of your uploads from Flickr has been marked as a copyright violation. You may have preserved the information shown on Flickr correctly when transferring the image here, but the Flickr uploader is not the copyright holder of this image. Either the image was created by someone else, or it is a derivative of someone else's work. As stated in Commons:Licensing, only the copyright holder may issue a license, so the one shown on Flickr is invalid.
Always remember to critically evaluate Flickr licenses. Photostreams with professional-looking photographs, album covers, posters, and images in a wide range of styles or quality taken by many different cameras often indicate that the Flickr uploader either does not understand or does not care about copyright matters.

I hope this Information helps you, an Image is not free because "it is from Flickr", it is free because the author (photographer) uploaded it to Flickr under a free license and he/she (the photographer) allows anyone to use the image for every purpose including money making purposes. Screenshots from Television are usualy not free, the broadcaster or producer does not allow everyone to use his content for commercial use. --Martin H. (talk) 23:06, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again, please dont use capital letters, thats deterrently for a german speaker. No, Wikipedia only is not ok, permission must be given to everyone for every purpose including money making and not only educational purposes. --Martin H. (talk) 02:04, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- No, i cant, im not a contributor to the english wikipedia, w:en:Fabiola Rodas is not my business. What shall i think of File:Fabiol13.jpg: If the author of the image does not allow anyone to use the image for any purpose you should not try to upload the image claiming to be the author! Thats a copyvio again. Please dont do this, if there is no free image it is simply not possible to upload one to wikipedia, thats sad but thats the way it is. I delete the image, agree? --Martin H. (talk) 02:18, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- I wonder, why are you asking for such basic things? You should read the content inside your Welcome template at the top of this page carefully until you do any future uploads. Read our Commons:First steps for this basics. I will not answer your question untill im now sure, that you did not read the instructions and help sites and violated copyright by claiming authorship even though we told you not to do so. After you read the Guide you can ask me again for understanding. --Martin H. (talk) 04:39, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
