Coming from the business state of India, Gujarat, from a family which never produced any artists and academically a commerce graduate, but a photographer by passion, Faiyaz did his Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Photography from India's most reputed photography institute, Light & Life Academy, Ooty, run by Mr Iqbal Mohammed, the reputed photographer of India. Photography, for Faiyaz started with a point & shoot camera which he bought from his saved money in a 'buy one, get one free' scheme. Confused about the career in life, he experienced various fields like corporates & NGO's, finally getting satisfied with his photographic experiences. A socialist by thoughts & a naturalist by nature, Faiyaz is passionate about traveling, where he finds happiness in freezing the frames while he enjoys interacting with people & eating different kinds of cuisines. He finds snakes & lizards to be the most beautiful creatures on earth. In the past, he has worked with few Non-Government Organizations where he worked with youth on issues like Communal peace, Education, Environment & conservation and Gender where his thoughts to become a photographer developed & he found the art, a medium to bring a social change in the society. For him, photography is all about perception & different perceptions leading to the production of some great piece of art. He was a part of various projects with ANALA outdoors as a Camp in-charge & also with American Center-New Delhi for a Youth awareness project. Currently, he is also a part of www.kgurus.com network, India’s first online Career Mentoring Platform. When he started exploring his specialization which was interior & architectural photography, he started loving the art of showing spaces aesthetically through the art of photography. He finds happiness in shooting spaces as different kinds of art are combined here. His second specialization in college was Travel & tourism photography, which he loves. He was also the official photographer for ‘Discovery presents MTB Himalaya 2013 Mountain Biking race’ and has also shot for many reputed resorts, Hotels, showrooms & other spaces in India.
