Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

WikiDaheim 2018 – Danke!

Vielen Dank für Deine Teilnahme am Wettbewerb zu WikiDaheim 2018! Von Ende Juli bis Anfang Oktober wurden so insgesamt mehr als 14.000 Bilder hochgeladen und viele Orte in Österreich in der Wikipedia und anderen Projekten mit neuen Bildern versehen, was nur dank der vielen Beiträge wie Deinen möglich war. Aus rund 500 von einer Vorjury ausgewählten Bildern hat nun eine Jury die Preisträger-Fotos dieses Jahres gewählt: Commons:WikiDaheim.

Im 2. Halbjahr 2019 wird WikiDaheim voraussichtlich wieder stattfinden und wir freuen uns schon auf ein Wiedersehen. :-) Natürlich bist Du auch abseits von Wettbewerben wie diesem eingeladen mitzumachen und wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du auch in Zukunft hilfst, die Wikimedia-Projekte zu bebildern! Wir laden Dich ein, am 15. Jänner 2019 zu einem WikiDienstag für Wikimedia-Commons-Neulinge in Wien zu kommen. Mögliche Themen bei diesem kostenlosen Beratungstermin sind: Welche Fotos sind erwünscht, welche Fotos sind erlaubt? Wie lade ich meine Fotos auf Wikimedia Commons hoch? Wie binde ich sie in Wikipedia ein? Um Dich dafür anzumelden und für andere Fragen rund um WikiDaheim erreichst Du uns unter wikidaheimwikimedia.at.

Wiki Loves Monuments in the United States – Back for 2019!

Hello! Last year you contributed to Wiki Loves Monuments 2018 in the United States. Thanks to people like you it was a great success, with over 1,900 people contributing over 10,000 photos of cultural and historic sites from all over the country. Hundreds of these photos now help illustrate Wikipedia articles, improving our open knowledge about United States history, culture, and heritage. If you haven't seen the winners yet, be sure to check them out here.

I'm pleased to say that we're back this year with Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in the United States, and I'd like to welcome you to participate once again in the event. Check out our updated event page for more information. Just like last year, you'll be able to upload your photos of any registered historical site in the United States through the end of September (even if the photos were taken before this month).

If you've traveled and taken photos of monuments in non-US countries, you can see if those countries are also participating here.

Wiki Loves Monuments in the United States 2019 – Last day to enter!

September 30th is the last day to upload photos for Wiki Loves Monuments! We're thrilled that the United States has almost reached 4,000 contributions so far this year. Of these images, ~370 (~9%) have already been used to help illustrate Wikipedia articles and pages on other wiki projects, which is fantastic.

If you've already made a photo contribution this year, thanks so much! If you have any last-minute photos of U.S. historical sites to upload and enter into the contest, today's the day to do it. Check out the United States event page for more information. Judging will take place throughout the month of October, after which the top-ten national finalists will be announced in early November.
