You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.

Hola Ecemaml, te deje este mensaje en tu pag de discución: La imagen de MVLL tiene su origen en una fotografía (mía) tomada con cámara analógica en 1990, imagen que he digitalizado para poder subirla. Evidentemente era más amplia, pero la he recortado para que se aprecie unicamente a MVLL en el centro, y por motivos de espacio. Seguramente deben existir videos y fotografìas similares, pero ello no tiene nada de extraño considerando que en el momento en que se hizo la toma estaba presente toda la prensa gráfica y también televisiva, por lo que deben existir muchos registros de ese mismo hecho. No veo cual sería el problema, si esta imagen en particular es mía.--Elelch (talk) 21:50, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hola. Con relación a la imagen cartográfica de la frontera Perú - Chile, en los datos de la propia imagen está explicado la norma que habilita su uso libre. Se trata de un documento oficial del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del Perú, y de acuerdo al Decreto Legislativo Nº 822 - Ley Sobre el Derecho de Autor, los textos oficiales de carácter legislativo, administrativo o judicial no son objeto de protección de derechos de autor. Tu observación carece de sentido, pues la norma peruana al referirse a "textos oficiales de carácter legislativo, administrativo o judicial" no indica únicamente a lo escrito sino a toda la documentación que forma parte del documento legislativo, administrativo o judicial. No se si serás peruano, pero aquí en el Perú los documentos con valor de leyes o actos administrativos están conformados por el texto y los anexos, que pueden ser mapas o cartografía.
