There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

License for Image:Lisa-damato.jpg
[edit]Hi Drivenbyboredom,
I was just closing the deletion discussion for Lisa D'Amato's en-wiki article when I noticed that the picture used is sourced to a Flickr account that shares your username. As you may know, Commons uses a system of reviewers to determine whether or not images sourced to Flickr are in fact free for use here--you can read more about this system at Commons:Flickr images.
Unfortunately, the image page does not mention that this review has occured, and when I looked at the Flickr image page here it reads "all rights reserved". In other words, the only proof we have that this image is indeed free is that your username and the username of the person on Flickr are the same--however, since anyone can register (virtually) any username on Commons, this proof is a little flimsy at best.
So I hate to ask, but we need you to do one of two things in order to ensure that this image remains free and can be used on Wikimedia Commons. You can either:
- Change the license on the original Flickr page to a free one. (If you notify me when you do this, I'll go ahead and mark the image as reviewed.)
- Submit an explicit license statement to the OTRS volunteers by sending an e-mail to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org including a statement such as this one:
- I hereby assert that I am the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Lisa-damato.jpg
- I agree to publish that work under the free license {{Cc-by-3.0}}.
- I acknowledge that I grant anyone the right to use the work in a commercial product, and to modify it according to their needs, as long as they abide by the terms of the license and any other applicable laws.
- I am aware that I always retain copyright of my work, and retain the right to be attributed in accordance with the license chosen. Modifications others make to the work will not be attributed to me.
- I am aware that the free license only concerns copyright, and I reserve the option to take action against anyone who uses this work in a libelous way, or in violation of personality rights, trademark restrictions, etc.
- I acknowledge that I cannot withdraw this agreement, and that the work may or may not be kept permanently on a Wikimedia project.
- (DATE, NAME OF THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER)
If you choose to do the latter, you can put my name in the e-mail and (hopefully) it'll be passed my way.
I'm sorry for all the hassle. Please let me know if you have any questions! --jonny-mt 04:34, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- There is a similar problem with Image:Jenna-jameson.jpg. Thank you for uploading and sharing it, but it is also on Flickr here, only with a different license (cc-by-nc-sa-2.0) that we don't accept here because of the non commercial part. It's been on Flickr since October 2007, so anypne could have uploaded it to Commons, registering as Drivenbyboredom. So, please either change the license on Flickr or send a confirmation e-mail that the image is ok here with the given license. Details on how to this were outlinde by johnny-mt above. Regards --Rosenzweig (talk) 12:26, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- I contacted the contact e-mail given on http://www.drivenbyboredom.com/, and from the answer I received it seems this user is in deed identical with that website's operator, and permissions were sent to the OTRS at permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Thank you. Regards --Rosenzweig (talk) 18:52, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Jenna-jameson.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Jenna-jameson.jpg. This image is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or send an email with copy of a written permission to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org).
Unless the permission information is given, the image may be speedy deleted after seven days. Thank you. Rosenzweig (talk) 12:29, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Tracy-morgan.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Tracy-morgan.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Critically evaluate Flickr licenses | Image:Shar-jackson.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. You may have preserved the information shown on Flickr correctly when transferring the image here, but the Flickr uploader is not the copyright holder of this image. Either the image was created by someone else, or it is a derivative of someone else's work. As stated in Commons:Licensing, only the copyright holder may issue a license, so the one shown on Flickr is invalid.
Always remember to critically evaluate Flickr licenses. Photostreams with professional-looking photographs, album covers, posters, and images in a wide range of styles or quality taken by many different cameras often indicate that the Flickr uploader either does not understand or does not care about copyright matters.

File tagging File:Lisa-damato.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Lisa-damato.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Lisa-damato.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

File:Greg Lansky at the 2016 AVN Awards in Las Vegas, NV.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
