Thanks for uploading File:AKUT Kalkan.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:AKUT Kalkan.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

File:AKUT_Logo.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Kürt Sorununda Demokratik Çözüm Bildirgesi

[edit]

Hi, Utku. Your approaches are too biassed. For example, this edit is not appropriate. Although you claim this part might be based on personal explanation, this part is nothing but a quotation of that book. Moreover, this edit is not also acceptable. Because this book is used in multiple reliable sources (in English). Maybe you and other users don't know Wikipedia:Notability (books). I strongly recommend you to read these rules. I understand your sentiment toward the Kurdistan Workers' Party, Abdullah Öcalan etc.. But because the Turkish Wikipedia is also an encyclopedia, you musn't behave politically and ideologically. Thank you. Takabeg (talk) 02:07, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I can help you by providing sources:

Thanks. Probably you also understand, I think the importance of this book is the point that he wrote he didn't have intention of the independence of the Kurds. Takabeg (talk) 10:18, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again! I find it notable, too, but the information had no sources. Because of that i had made the change and wrote the reason as summary. Utku Tanrivere (talk) 10:24, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. Could you control whether these sources are reliable not ? We have to be carefully deal with informations. For example, somebody traduces Ahmet Derviş (for example Zilan kasabı Albay Derviş (Ahmed) = this is not a reliable source). But he wasn't there. They confuse Ahmet Derviş and Captain Derviş who commanded a machine gun detachment (mitralyöz müfrezesi). Takabeg (talk) 11:13, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take a look as soon as possible. Kind regards. Utku Tanrivere (talk) 11:23, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hiçbir kaynağı belirtilmemiş, bilgileri nereden nasıl aldığı belli olmayan bir maddenin intervikisini eklemek doğru mu? Türkçesi de aynı vaziyette. --Bermanya (talk) 14:09, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now I'm comparing with official records of the Turkish General Staff:

  • Zilan katliamının komutası albay Derviş’teydi. Fault. Ahmet Derviş's rank was mirliva. Derviş's rank was captain. So this information is groundless.
  • 1886 yılında Vardar’a bağlı (Makedonya sınırları içinde) Yenice’de doğdu. Ahmet Derviş was born in Yenidje-i Vardar in 1884 (not in 1886).
  • Son görev yeri Erzincan’dı. Erzincan’dan Malazgirt hattı üzerinden Zilan’a geldi. Fault. The last service of Ahmet Derviş was member of the Military Supreme Court, Ankara.
Fault. He was promoted to the rank of Ferik in 1930.
  • Madalya ile ödüllendirildi. 1932’de öldü. True.
  • Kemal Derviş’in akrabası, Dersim kasabı Abdullah Alpdoğan’ın bacanağı, Koçgiri kasabı sakallı Nurettin Paşa’nın damadıydı.Fault. I don't know about Kemal Derviş. Nureddin Pasha (1309-P. 31) had two daughters: Semiha (1896–1950) and Memduha (1904–1970). Semiha was married to Hüseyin Pasha, Memduha was married to Major General Eşref Alpdoğan (1327-P. 19). He is not the Governor of the Fourth Inspectorate-General Lieutenant General Hüseyin Abdullah Alpdoğan (1310-P. 12).
  • Sağ kurtulan çocukların öldürülmesini istiyordu. Groundless.

Unfortunately i don't have any idea, why you tell me this stuff... You are able to change the pages as well. Utku Tanrivere (talk) 17:41, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I just wanted to teach you how to research history :) Cheers. Takabeg (talk) 19:07, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please keep your assaults yourself. First, you should learn how to be respectful. Utku Tanrivere (talk) 19:08, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
assaults ? I strongly recommend you to read Assume good faith again and again. İyi okumalar. Takabeg (talk) 19:25, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're free to recommend of course, but not free to assault on other uses, which don't have the same opinion with you. I strongly wish you a good night as my last message. Utku Tanrivere (talk) 20:15, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't understand why do you feel assualt ? I provided sources for you. Because I've witnessed your wrong and biased action. I know your intention to become an admin., so I tried to help you. That's all. Good luck. Takabeg (talk) 20:23, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Picture of the Year voting round 1 open

[edit]

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:

  1. Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
  2. This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
  3. Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.

To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons

Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee
