Indonesië en Kèpèng-munten
Geachte @Quistnix: ,
Over die Indonesische tinnen munten heb ik wel wat informatie kunnen vinden maar niet veel. Het Nederlandse woord “Kèpèng” zoals die in publicaties van het Tropenmuseum wordt gebruikt komt uit het Balinees en in het Javaans worden deze munten “Picis” (Pitjis) genoemd wat ook door de Nederlanders in Indië werd gebruikt. Alhoewel een groot aantal van deze munten uit China en (mijn geboorteland) Vietnam kwamen, maar lokale sultans produceerde vaak ook hun eigen kèpèngs, jij liet mij dit zien:
Maar hier op Wikimedia Commons heb ik al een aantal afbeeldingen van gelijkwaardige kèpèng-munten geüpdatet, zie graag de categorieën Kèpèng-munten van Indonesië en Pitjis-munten van Java. Volgens Dr. Luke Roberts (Universiteit van Californië te Santa Barbara) zijn heel veel kèpèng-munten die als “Viëtnamese privémunten” of “Viëtnamese privékèpèngs” worden beschreven ik werkelijkheid Indisch. Vaak hebben deze munten gelijkwaardige ontwerpen aan de w:en:Kaiyuan Tongbao en andere Chinese kèpèngs. Vaak hebben de Kèpèngs van Indië een schrift wat best beschreven kan worden als “Nepchinees” zoals op deze munt. Zodra je je tinnen munten in huis heb kan je ze voor Wikimedia Commons fotograferen.
Trouwens, ik wou altijd al graag over Indonesische en Javaanse Kèpèngs en amuletten schrijven maar heb nooit genoeg bronnen kunnen vinden om zelfs een beginnetje op de Engelstalige Wikipedia te kunnen schrijven. Helaas zijn Indonesische en Javaanse Kèpèngs en amuletten extreem obscuur en alhoewel ik zelfs over Riukiuaanse kèpèng-munten kon schrijven kan ik bijna niks over Indonesische en Javaanse Kèpèngs en amuletten vinden. In het Japans worden deze munten “Shimasen” (“Eilandgeld”, “Eilandkèpèngs” of “Eilandmunten” genoemd), ik heb in het Viëtnamees, Engels, Nederlands en Mandarijn-Chinees weinig of niets over deze munten kunnen vinden maar in Japan is het verzamelen van kèpèng-munten erg populair dus kan er best veel informatie in het Japans over deze munten zijn.
Ik heb zo goed als alle bronnen waartoe ik toegang heb uitgeput, dit is de reden waarom ik al een tijd niets meer over Chinese Kèpèngs, overige Kèpèngs en amuletten heb kunnen schrijven. Daarom heb ik nu ook meer tijd om weer bankbiljetten naar Wikimedia Commons te importeren.

Erekèpèngs
Trouwens, ik probeer ook foto's van mensen met Erekèpèngs te verzamelen zoals op de afbeelding “Bestand:Emperor Thanh Thai.jpg”. Een Erekèpèng was een speciale kèpèng die in Viëtnam aan bijzondere mensen werd gegeven, dit systeem leek zo sterk op Europese medailles dat de Fransen Erekèpèngs in een bijzondere categorie van medailles had gemaakt. Deze “munten” lijken vaak net op gewone kèpèngs maar zijn vaak groter en gemaakt van zilver of goud, ben jij bekend met Erekèpèngs (Frans: Sapèques d’Honneur; Viëtnamees: Kim Tiền đệ tam hạng)? Ik heb helaas geen afbeelding van een Erekèpèng met een vrije licentie kunnen vinden er is bijna geen enkele informatie over deze medailles (online) te vinden. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 13:17, 8 March 2019 (UTC)

"w:en:Cash coins in Indonesia" is nu live
@Quistnix: Het artikel "w:en:Cash coins in Indonesia" is nu live, de lijn tussen "echte" Kèpèng-munten en amuletten is in China erg vaag maar in Indië (Indonesië) is er helemaal geen lijn tussen munten en amuletten, dus ga ik zo snel mogelijk het artikel "w:en:Indonesian numismatic charm" schrijven om dit dunne lijntje op te helderen. Een tijd geleden kon ik helemaal geen bronnen vinden, maar nu heb ik wel een klein aantal lange artikelen over het onderwerp kunnen vinden.
