astroid
[edit]Hi. Why do you think that this isFile:Normal_lines_to_the_ellipse.svg not astroid ? Astroid as an evolute of ellipse. --Adam majewski (talk) 19:56, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Adam majewski: See the definition at w:Astroid (which is sourced); it could be described as a "squashed" astroid (dilated in one direction only), but not an actual astroid. Deacon Vorbis (talk) 20:15, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
- The evolute of an ellipse is stretched astroid sometimes known as the Lamé curve. Is it generalization of the astroid curve ? --Adam majewski (talk) 16:32, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
- In the category astroid is also subcategory regular astroid. So it add category astroid again. The description is changed so it is now streched astroid. Thx. --Adam majewski (talk) 11:57, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
