Mr. Liuzzo: I inherited a "tapestry" of 2 different coats of arms, about 40+ years ago. I believe the tapestry is over 100 years old. It has been stored in a closet 90% of the time. it is approximately 6 feet in length by 3 feet in width. While attempting to research the history of both coats of arms, I came across your "leones SVG 18". The body of these two "leones" are identical in all respects, except that my lion is wearing a crown and holds a long sword above and parallel to the crown.

Have you ever come across a lion such as mine?,described above. My research has not found other lions, other than yours, that are identical to it.

The original source of the tapestry was my father's uncle(Lisbon Switzer). He lived in Los Angeles California and was a gambler. He is alleged to have been an associate of a known gangster named Mickey Cohen. During the 1950's and 1960's Mr. Cohen was alleged to have been involved with gambling, prostitution and murder. Mr. Cohen was eventually arrested and convicted of Income Tax evasion. After his release from prison he died of natural causes in 1976. My Uncle Lisbon went insane and died in a sanitarium in 1971, in the same year as my father. My uncle was very rich at one time, but lost everything when he became mentally ill. His wife is buried in a pauper's grave in Arizona. The only artifact of my Uncle Lisbon's existence is this "tapestry."

Any help or suggestions you have would be appreciated. My research is only to find the history of this "tapestry" and possibly find out where my Uncle Lisbon acquired it.

Thank you for your time, David R. Simmes <drsimmes20@gmail.com>
