Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Protocol
[edit]As a new user, you may want to take a few minutes to read the rules about correct protocol before adding your personal opinions and conclusions without proof, ie. referring to something as a "violation." However, if the only reason you signed up was to tag a Beatles image, you have my respect. It's rare to see a newbie learn how to tag images for deletion on the commons, even if their reasons and technique are wrong. --Wikiwatcher1 (talk) 18:04, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've edited Wikipedia for five years. And I have read Wikipedia's policies about copyright and non-free content. I suggest you do the same as I plan to address the issue at Wikipedia's ANI page if you continue to add copyrighted images there. Cresix (talk) 18:16, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
