A meaningless nitpick, but for the record, I count it as 40 support votes. 38 in the body of the voting section and the two CUs at the beginning. And thanks for closing this -- both Krd and I could not, because we voted in it. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 17:50, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Jameslwoodward: Hi. I have only counted the number of {{Support}}. I don't think we add the nomination itself in support count unless the nominater has explicitly voted in Votes section (ex. Support as the nominater) or have used the template in nomination itself like you did. We don't have clear/explicit/uniform practice or rule for this. -- CptViraj (talk) 03:19, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We don't have a specific rule for it, but if it were a close vote I would certainly count the nominator. The instructions, "Any logged in user may vote although those who have few or no previous edits may not be fully counted." give the closing crat considerable discretion and I think that discretion would cover including the obvious support from the nominator. In this case, of course, as I said it's a meaningless nitpick. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 13:24, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Jameslwoodward: I might have counted the nominator in support if it had been a close call, using bureaucrat discretion. Since the result was clear, I simply went by the number of {{Support}} templates used, based on what I’ve seen in practice. That said, I don’t mind at all if you would like to change the count to 40. As you said, either way, the outcome remains the same. Thanks! -- CptViraj (talk) 12:02, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad we agree that in a close call, the closing bureaucrat has considerable discretion. I see no reason to change your choice. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 13:08, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
