File:CorrinneYuReikyu.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Photos from the CorrinneYu Flickr account
[edit]Good evening,
You tried 5 times to upload some pictures from the CorrinneYu Flickr account. Wikimedia Commons is a free media repository, meaning only free pictures can be uploaded.
What we call a free picture isn't a picture where a people, Corrinne Yu, is on and says "okay, you can publish". It's a picture the copyright holder says "Okay, I allow free distribution, modification, use in derivative works, including for commercial purpose".
The copyright holder isn't the subject on the photo nor the camera owner but the photographer.
So when the pictures are deleted with the motivation Non trustable Flickr account: the owner uses the flickr to publish photo showing her, not her own photo, including some ID or passport pictures relicensed in CC-BY. She's probably not copyright holder of any of those., it means than this Flickr account contains picture OF Corrinne Yu and not FROM a Corrinne Yu.
So, as long it's not the photographer who license it under CC-BY or CC-BY-SA, we can't accept those picture on Commons.
If you've any question about copyright issues, it well be a pleasure to answer you. --Dereckson (talk) 23:25, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Response to Dereckson
[edit]Good evening, Dereckson.
Sorry for adding to your administration burdens.
The author and source of the uploaded photos are taken by Corrinne Yu's husband Kenneth Scott. None of these are professional photography and all of these are taken by family members (husband) on Corrinne Yu's cell phone or camera. These are all casual candid family photos with no professional photographer holding any copyrights.
Since the file names are protected and locked now, if you can be kind enough to attribute the author and source to Kenneth Scott, it would be greatly appreciated.
If not, I am flattered and surprised so many people even made a wikipedia page of my professional career. If I cannot add one casual candid cell phone photo by my family / husband to the wikipedia entry as an informative photo, all is still well. And I apologize for the wikimedia inconvenience this attempt caused.
Thank you.CorrinneYu (talk)Corrinne Yu

Thanks for uploading File:CorrinneYu.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |
