Foroa has unilaterally decided to change the category naming from what is in use on English Wikipedia and the subject of consensus from several editors and a closed CfD. In doing so, he provided an assertion based on his own views of what should or should not exist on Commons but provided no reference to Commons policy to support his assertion. His change is disrupting one of the purposes of the CfD which was to create naming alignment of an entire category structure with the English Wikipedia. I request that his changes be reverted to the agreed category naming. Cheers, AusTerrapin (talk) 09:30, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

I think you need to start a fresh "Categories for discussion" thread. Then leave a note at the Village pump to notify other users about the discussion. — Cheers, JackLee talk 18:20, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Surely, Foroa is the one who should have been raising the new CfD, not just unilaterally imposing his will against others opposition? I subsequently reported him at Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/User problems#User:Foroa when, after having acknowledged that his position was contested, he unilaterally implemented changes to a further 29 categories, many of which had existed on Commons for a significant period of time (difs supplied on the noticeboard post). So far he has ignored all attempts to discuss what I believe is abuse of admin powers. He is trying to deflect attention from this issue with attempts to justify his viewpoint on the category naming. While I am more than happy to debate the pros and cons of the category naming in a CfD, I have significant concerns about his behaviour, especially since he is an admin. If he had merely put the CfD agreed moves on hold to discuss the matter further, I would have had no problems. He hasn't, he has imposed is own personal viewpoint in the face of opposition - this is contrary to Commons policy (which requires that consensus be obtained first) and should not be supported by, in essence, allowing him to get away with it. Sure, you can wait for Foroa to initiate a CfD, but it may not happen. That's why I suggested you launch one yourself. Also, you have already reported the matter at the Administrators' noticeboard, so there is nothing else that can be done about the matter here. — Cheers, JackLee talk 15:58, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
(If there are no further comments on this topic after a week, i.e., by 24 October, I propose that this discussion thread be archived and removed from this page.) — Cheers, JackLee talk 10:12, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
