Chemicals Wikiproject

[edit]

Hi, I write chemistry articles on the English Wikipedia site, I wondered if you might be able to help us out. I notice that frequently there are good drawings of reaction schemes on the English site that aren't on the German site, and vice versa. I also publish a lot of photos of inorganic compounds, see Category:Metal halides for some example. My German, I'm ashamed to say, is much worse than your English, and my Spanish is so bad I mistakenly ordered squid (?) for breakfast when I was in Spain last year. Perhaps with your language skills you could help facilitate the chemistry projects, by bringing drawings etc. across the language divide?

I am active in w:Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chemicals, by all means take a look there, that focusses on substances, and you can cross-check these with de:Chemikalienliste or Liste_chemischer_Verbindungen. For reaction schemes w:List of reactions is a better starting point. We have a partly written style guide that shows how we draw structures. I notice that some of your drawings are quite small- we often need things a bit larger for our purposes, if you are drawing new ones.

Can you help us out? Thanks, Walkerma 04:02, 17 July 2005 (UTC) (also w:User:Walkerma)[reply]

File:Luminol.PNG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
